Long Bay House is located on 2 acres of tropical foliage and fruit trees and overlooks 300 feet of beach on Long Bay. Long Bay Beach ends just south of the property making this a quiet and secluded beach. Enjoy a day of swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach, in the sun or the shade of the beach gazebos, and follow it up with a swim and perhaps a cocktail in the fresh water pool with built in seating. Before you head out to dinner be sure to watch the sunset from the observation tower. When you return, take a few moments to sit and enjoy the stars. If you prefer to stay in for the evening, catch your own dinner, or buy some locally caught fresh fish and make your meal at the house.

The Grounds: Long Bay House is located on 2 acres of tropical foliage and fruit trees and overlooks mile long Long Bay Beach, 300 feet of which is part of the estate. Long Bay Beach ends just south of the property making this a quiet and secluded beach. The other three sides of the property which don't face the beach are screened by dense tropical foliage. Enjoy a day of swimming, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach, in the sun or the shade of the beach gazebo, and follow it up with a swim and perhaps a cocktail in the fresh water pool with built in seating. Before you head out to dinner be sure to watch the sunset from the observation tower. When you return, take a few moments to sit and enjoy the stars.

The House:

Long Bay House is the ideal rental for a couple or up to 8 people. In the main house there are two master bedrooms with en suite bathrooms. One of the master bedrooms, the Key Lime Room, has a small bunk room with twin beds perfect for children. The main house sleeps 6. There is a fully equipped kitchen with gas range, a great room overlooking the beach, which includes a TV watching area, a separate dining room and a screened in porch with additional dining and living areas. The house includes a telephone for local calls or to receive long distance calls, satellite television, DVD player for movies and wireless internet. The house is fully air-conditioned. A gas grill is located directly outside the kitchen.

An additional master bedroom with en suite bathroom is also available for rent and when added to the main house accommodates 8 people.

New Plymouth and surrounding area:

Long Bay House is located just minutes from the town of New Plymouth, and you can get there by foot or by renting a golf cart or bike. There you will find the grocery stores, restaurants, bars and liquor stores. Long Bay House is also located close to several marinas, so you can have your boat close by. If you don't have a boat, you can rent one from several different businesses.

The two resorts on the cay, Green Turtle Club and Bluff House, are located north of Long Bay House and are easily accessible by golf cart.

The waters surrounding Green Turtle Cay provide for excellent snorkeling, scuba diving and fishing. There are nearby uninhabited cays for private picnics and exploring.

You can also head back to the main island of Abaco and travel to the south end to see the Abaco Parrots.

You can be as busy or as laid back as you prefer on Green Turtle Cay.

Long Bay House is located on mile long Long Bay Beach. The three acre estate covers over 300 feet of beach. The beach gently slopes into the water making it an ideal place for swimming. You can also go snorkeling, scuba diving, fishing, boating, shelling and star gazing during your stay on Green Turtle Cay. Long Bay House also has a pool and an observation tower which provides for long views of the cay.

This was our 5th return to our favorite piece of paradise, GTC, and we have now found our favorite home to rent! (Although I'm reluctant to type this in fear that Long Bay House will become so popular it won't be available when we want to return!) Truly such a comfortable beach house with plenty of room! We only needed 2 bdrms for 5 of us! 2 adults and 3 kids who enjoyed their own "kid's suite!." I can't tell you how much we enjoyed the screened in lanai! Every meal eaten outdoors with no bugs! The sound of the ocean at night, a beach that feels like your very own and a beautiful pool that's perfect even on the windiest day! You can't beat the location of this home-so close to town, and yet, when you return via golf cart, you pull back into your own piece of paradise where you feel like you're the only people on the island! We can't wait to return, and I better email Mary our dates before Long Bay House becomes the most popular rental!

Long Bay House on Green Turtle is a family paradise for life-time memories!!

The Long Bay House could not have suited us better as a family of 6 adults and one 4 year old child! The layout was ideal with 3 master suites plus an adjoining room for our grand-son, and plenty of common space. The views of the water from the lovely screened porch, and the observation tower and beach deck, were spectacular! We had the lovely sand beach all to ourselves and used the pool occasionally; each time we explored with our golf carts we were so happy to return to the "best house, best beach, and best views"on the Island! Green Turtle is truly a tiny, quiet Island that is perfect for a peaceful getaway. Some of us went bone fishing (and successfully caught the fish!) and we tried most restaurants on the Island with the Green Turtle Club being our favorite. We will return, Long Bay House! Thank you, Mary, for your guidance and hospitality!

Outstanding property with everything we expected. My wife and I were looking for a quiet secluded beach front property. The house and property were beautiful and spacious. The beach view was incredible. There were very few people on a mile long beach of white sand and turquoise water. The property manager, was fabulous...great instructions, set up our golf cart and groceries, met us for dinner one night, and was available all week as needed. The photos were very descriptive of the setting, house was very clean and well maintained, the pool was very nice, and we are already planning our return visit.

What a great place to relax and enjoy tranquil island living. This large property has so much to offer - two houses, beachfront, gardens, a pool, and close proximity to New Plymouth. I am looking forward to returning with my family as soon as possible!

Paradise!

Our stay at Long Bay House was true paradise. The views from the house are spectacular and the ocean breezes relaxing. Beautiful white sand beach, private and secluded. A dream to stay there. Very comfortable furnishings. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet getaway with pristine beaches. Very hospitable town as well with good restaurants and island nightlife.
