My wife and I purchased this property in 2006. We fell in love with the location and the atmosphere this property exuded. After 30 years of traveling with the family, we felt that this property exemplified what all of us could enjoy at any age. Young to old(us) there is something for everyone separately and together. The memories that we have created in just the short time that we have owned, have already made this the favorite place for the family to vacation.

Just across the street from Starved Rock State Park which provides a rich history and awesome hiking, the location just cannot be beat. Although you feel as though you are out in the middle of nowhere, you are just a few miles from a mall with stores, restaurants and a movie theatre.
A 1/2 mile in any direction brings you to horse-back riding and the Illinois River. There are locations to canoe or just hike and view the various waterfalls.
The river has a marina with boat rentals as well as jet-ski rentals and pleasure boats.
Some of my favorite moments are sitting quietly outside with my coffee in the morning and listening to the birds and nothing else. It is so peaceful. The other favorite time of day is watching the sun set over the trees and listening to the quietness. A welcome change from the hectic pace of home. Although the resort does not allow pets, just a few miles down the street is Paws Here Pet Resort which gives the best care and pampering of your animal family member. You are close enough to pick them up and go for morning or evening walks and play.
