BEAUTIFUL 3BD/2BA HOME - SLEEPS 10 - 2 BLOCKS TO LAKE MICHIGAN

This is a clean and spacious house with all the conveniences of home. It's a 5 minute walk to the beach and all the neighbors are so friendly. There's a WalMart in Portage which is a 15 or 20 minute drive from Miller Beach. I thought the manager, Albert, was so helpful and just the nicest person you'll ever want to meet! We brought our 2 dogs and they just loved going for walks around the neighborhood and to the beach. We were not at all afraid to leave our car or the house unlocked since at the intersection of Randolph and Locust a Gary Police officer owns a home. We ate at the Flamingo Bar and Grill (at the end of Locust) and I highly recommend their Fresh Lake Perch. Since my daughter and I would like to visit Chicago to see more sites, we'll definitely be back to rent this house again.

We totally loved the house it was a perfect size for our family of 6. Our 4 children only fought over who was going to sit in the recliner chairs, but that was finally settled once we brought up the twin airbed from the basement.The house is exactly like pictured. It is very roomy,I loved the big dining room and the pass through window to the kitchen it made it easy to clear the table when we were done eating and having two bathrooms was a must for all of us.My husband wants to redo our bathroom like the main one there.We loved that the beach was so close and when your returned home there was a shower on the patio to rinse before we entered the house.Our only regret was not having more open days to extend our time.Albert we can not wait to come back and it was always a pleasure talking with you and we hope to talk again real soon.

We just returned from an awesome week at Miller Beach. The house was exactly what we hoped for -- the perfect size for us five college roommates (3 bedrooms) and the perfect location for all our destinations. We especially liked the new, lovely, bathrooms and the kitchen that had a lot of space and everything we needed for cooking, plus a dishwasher. We caught the South Shore from Ogden Station (about 3 miles away) to Chicago and enjoyed a wonderful city boat tour. We spent a couple days "at home" and enjoyed the beach (a few blocks away) and swimming in Lake Michigan. We found some nice restaurants, won a little money at Four Winds Casino in New Buffalo, shopped at the outlet mall in Michigan City, and found gifts for our husbands as the big Bass Pro Shop in Portage, about 15 minutes away.

The house was very clean; the beds very comfortable. There were plenty of towels and a washer and dryer. The neighborhood is very eclectic -- we felt very safe and enjoyed our morning walks to see the lovely cottages up and down the neighborhood streets.

We give this place 5 stars. We've already told Albert -- our rental manager who was always so helpful -- that we may rent again next year. There is so much to do in this area, and we just didn't have enough time for everything!
