Perfect home for quiet retreat or that large family reunion. The home can accommodate multiple families and sleeps 10-15 or perfect for a single family looking to sprawl out. Each room has brand new furniture and the game room is sure to keep the whole family busy with ping pong, fooseball, and air hockey !! It really is the perfect family get-a-way and best value for the $$ in Pinetop. Read the reviews and you will see why! Thanks for looking and we hope to have you !!!
We purchased this home for our family so that we had a great place to stay when up from the valley. Our kids love to play outside in the cul-de-sac and on the golf course fairway in the early evenings. We also wanted to provide a great rental property for other families to come and enjoy as well as a private retreat for those looking for a little peace and quiet.
Rob Davies purchased this house in 2013
This is a very large comfortable home that backs to the 17th fairway of the Pinetop Lakes Country Club and is one of the only rental properties in Pinetop on the golf course. The home is loaded with upgrades including a 55' tv in the living room, 650 square feet game room complete with ping pong table and full size air hockey table. Each room is tastefully done with leather couches and quality hardwoods. All of the furniture / linens in each bedroom is brand new and very comfortable.
We are so close to all of the local attractions such as golf, tennis, pickleball, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, sightseeing, horseback riding, ect. Its only a 5 minute drive to all the best restaurants and grocery stores in town.
Stayed here Feb 25-29 with 2 adults and 6 kids ages 13-16. Overall house is dated but it is kept very clean. We had a great stay overall due to spaciousness, location and awesome game room.
Pros: house is spacious and comfortable and owner is very nice and accommodating. Beds were pretty comfortable and location is great. Wifi worked ok, better downstairs than upstairs. House is well stocked with towels and sheets and there was just enough TP, some napkins, basic utensils, dishes, etc. Game room was awesome for the four 13 year old boys we had with us. They loved that room but would have preferred to have a TV in there and they didn't have to share TV with the parents at night.
Cons: TV in guest room did not work - not connected and no TV in game room for kids. Coffee maker didn't work which we found out the first morning we were there. Owner said we should buy one in town and he'd reimburse us but never got around to it so went all weekend w/o coffee (boo hoo). Two burners on stove stopped working second day and downstairs toilet stopped up that day as well (couldn't fix with plunger). Bummer having to share two bathrooms among 8 of us for even a day but owner had his plumber come out next day and he fixed both the toilet and burners. Sadly he couldn't fix coffeemaker. We could not find any extra blankets and some of us were cold at night and we would have liked blankets to wrap around us when sitting downstairs at night as it got chilly and heat was not adjustable. . Kitchen also lacking in fundamentals; terrible knives if you are preparing dinner, just one old cutting board, no glassware to microwave anything and just two plastic bowls for serving food and pots are old and Teflon very scratched which is not safe to use - they need to be replaced. We had 8 people and needed some bigger serve ware to put out food. Also table has just 6 chairs but we brought some in from outside and we all fit fine. Garage could fit two cars one in front of the other but we had issues with the garage door opener and opted to park outside.
Would stay here again if we are heading up there with a bunch of boys again as they really appreciated the game room, but would bring more cooking utensils to make dinner preparation easier and more enjoyable.
My family rented this house in Pine Top with 2 other families over Valentines Weekend. Here are the wonderful Pros: It is a great location, there is lots of space and bedrooms/bedding, the owner is very responsive, with being on the golf course and having a nice yard it was great fun to be outside (we had 65 degree weather in Feb!) and the game room is awesome fun for everyone. The cons: the home is older and in need of a renovation (at least the downstairs), however to be fair it was stated in some of the previous reviews. So if you like a retro 70's vibe, this house is for you! We had a few maintenance issues which the owner was responsive with however if wasn't fixed until after we left. My only other con would be that this may not be a good rental for newly walking/crawling kiddos 1-3 years old. The stairs and the slats on railing are rather far apart so needless to say we should've brought a couple baby gates to put our mind at ease from our safety concerns. The carpets were stained and in need or replacement or shampooing. I would recommend bringing a blow dryer with you- there was not one at the rental. Overall this was not my favorite place to stay but we all had a lot of fun regardless!
We took a rather large group here for a ski weekend. The cabin was huge, the kids (and adults!) loved the game room! There is a door to shut down some of the excitement so it doesn't bother guests in the other rooms. Beautiful setting, easy to get to. The cabin allowed you the opportunity to gather or there are lots of places where you could sit off by yourself and read a book. We will definitely be going back! Owner was awesome, easy to get in touch with and great communication. Thanks for sharing your place with us!
We had a great Christmas time on this house... Big spaces and a great game room for the kids.... very clean and cozy... the heat was left turned on for us so we walked in to a very comfortable environment. Right on the golf course, so the kids also enjoyed all the accumulated snow there.... Would definitely stay again. Owner was also reachable and helpful.
Lot's of activities to do and fun to have.
Three families stayed for almost a week. The owner, Rob, was very accommodating and answered all our questions. He bought this property last year and plans to remodel in the coming year. It is spacious with a good sized kitchen, family room, living room and playroom. Because it is on the fairway, one needs to be careful when sitting on the back porch or lawn. The beds in the smaller bedrooms were a little too firm for us and we could have used two keys to the front door. In spite of these minor drawbacks, we would stay here again. Rob is a great landlord and we believe you will be very happy.
We are walking distance to the Pinetop Lakes Golf and Country Club for golf, tennis, pickleball, and dining. There are thrity lakes within 20 minutes for ease of access. Sunrise Ski Resort is just a quick 20 minute drive.
