This Puerto Vallarta vacation home in the Residencias Molino de Agua is no doubt in the premier location in the city. Located on Los Muertos Beach in Zona Romantica of Old Town, it is just steps away from a wonderful variety of restaurants, galleries, shopping and nightlife. The condo is complete with furniture and artwork that is both practical and stylish and sure to impress. The exceptionally spacious covered outdoor deck is nestled in the trees beside the Rio Cuale with views of the ocean and has plenty of room for both a dining area and a cozy sitting area. A gas fired BBQ is also provided for those who want to grill their favourite meals at home. The living room features a 50 inch screen T.V with cable service, I pod dock, and a DVD player. There is also high speed wireless Internet with Wi-Fi, a Vonage phone line with free calling to 60 countries and a local phone line to receive local calls. The three bedrooms all feature King size beds, large opening windows, large screen TVs, Ipod docs, DVD players and individual safes. Two of the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms. For those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown Puerto Vallarta you will find this condo is one of the most quiet in the complex. The kitchen has all the applicances you could need including dishwasher, gas cook-top & oven, microwave, s/s refrigerator, toaster, coffee maker, espresso machine, blender, orange juicer, etc. .There is also central air conditioning with 5 individual zone controls. On the grounds the condo complex features the largest heated pool in Old Town with manicured landscaping and plenty of space for sunbathing. The complex also has dedicated chairs on the beach. The building has a striking modern architectural design giving all suites beach views and is protected with 24 hr gated security provided by helpful and biilingual staff.

About Ted Mason

Ted and Bruce have had a longtime love affair with Mexico going back 30 years when they had their first holiday together travelling around the country. Ted's training as an architect haslead to a real passion for the historic architecture of Mexico, especially the builidngs of the 17th and 18th century. Bruce's passion is cooking and there is a rich tradtion of regional cooking in Mexico which he has been exploring for years. Ted learnt spanish in university which allowed them access to many aspects of the country which the average tourist might miss.They are both Canadians from small towns in Canada and appreciate the value of being part of a community. They have found the town of Puerto Vallarta to be especially welcoming and are making friends among both Mexicans and the large ex pat community. Their goal is to retire in Mexico.

Why Ted Mason chose Puerto Vallarta

We fell in love with this property after a friend of ours bought in the building in 2009. Our friiend had lived in San Miguel Allende for years and had built a luxurious bed and breakfast which he operated with his partner. Health problems forced our friend into a more relaxed lifestyle in Puerto Vallarta where he discovered a very welcoming community that had most of the modern conveniences of home along with the interesting contrast of cultures that one finds throughout Mexico. The convenient airline connections to Canada, the top notch health services and the close proximity to the dynamic city of Guadalajara made Puerto Vallarta an excellent mix of amenities and culture. We discovered this for ourselves and decided that our reitrement would be spent here.

What makes this condo unique

When we first bought in Mexico we did have friends who doubted the wisdom of this choice. We were told that perhaps Palm Springs of Hawaii would be a safer investment. However we felt that we would be bored living in places that were essentially american suburbia. Our experiences living and travelling in Mexico gave us the knowledge that the country was not dangerous as it is protrayed in the Canadian and American media. We wanted to be able to walk to the local market and buy fruits and vegetable that we had never tried before and test new recipies for traditional Mexican dishes that are disappearing even among the locals as the country is more and more influenced by it's northern neighbours. Our condo is unique in that it offers to us both the traditional and the modern. Within the grounds we have all the amenties of home such as drinkable tap water, and amazing swimming pool, cool ocean breezes and a secure home that is hidden away from the sometimes hectic street life of the town. We can also step out the door and be into a dynamic and culturally interesting place that is a crossroads for people from all over the world. For us our Puerto Vallarta home offers the best of both worlds.

Amazing Condo

The condo was pure luxury and comfort. It was well stocked with everything you need. The views where amazing. The location was perfect. We found the center location allowed for us to interact with the locals, and immerse ourselves in the culture, but yet retreat when a little down time was desired. We cannot wait to return.

The condo was everything it was reported to be.

Great accommodations, nothing missing, this a top notch vacation destination. I would stay here again and again. The service level is Five Star and the staff is very friendly. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. The pool area can not be beat. Walk the beach right outside your door. Security is always present but not really needed in Puerto Vallarta.

Puerto Vallarta has some excellent dining opportunities and the sidewalk food vendors serve up some delicious local fare. Lots of activities to keep you busy.

After a day of activities the best part is going back to the condo after sunset and sitting outside to enjoy the view of the grounds and the wonderful sea air.

Amazing

We were so impressed with this condo, it was absolutely beautiful and sooo comfortable. Some people may think that being up closer to the pool is so much better but not us. We loved being towards the back where it was really quiet and you could sit on the balcony and watch the people on the Malecon and listen to the river but still have a lot of privacy. The security guards are all so friendly and very helpful. We stayed for 2 full weeks and wish we could have stayed longer. Again, the amenities are endless. Can't wait to go back again.

Extraordinary

Although my wife had been there before, it was my first time in Puerto Vallarta. Molino del Agua is the place to be. Location, location, location. The pool for all ages!!! Being downtown and on the waterfront is perfect. Walking distance you have great restaurants, bars, discos, etc. We were able to go to the fish market and buy at extraordinary prices.

As for this condo i would buy it if I had the money!! The size is great. pictures represent 100% what you are getting. In addition the property manager is amazing. Full service for any needs. Stongly recommend it.

We spent 4 weeks there. I would have stayed more if I did not have to work. Strongy recomend it to anybody.

We hired a cook all month. With small kids its the way to go as they do not want to be at restaurants. She did most of the day to day shopping and would cook for us breakfast and lunch.

Strongly recommend the following restaurants: Casa de los Artistas, La Leche, Las 8 Tostadas.

AWESOME OCEAN FRONT PROPERTY

We have been to Puerto Vallarta several times before but and stayed in a hotel and always saw this tall beautiful building right at the Boardwalk and wondered about the residence living there and wished to have the experience staying there and it came true on our recent trip to Puerto Vallarta.

We booked this condo because we fell in love with the pictures and didn't want to stay anywhere else. Upon arrival our decision was confirmed with authority. Immediately upon walking in we were blown away with how spectacular the condo and the views were.

It is right in the heart of the Malecon ( Boardwalk) which is right where most people want to be. At the same time it was private and quiet around the pool.

We look forward to coming back for another stay and encourage others to take advantage of this place as well.

The Absolute Best!

Three couples in our family just returned from the best two weeks ever in PV! I can not begin to tell you how much better this accommodation is than anything any of us have ever stayed in (and we are a well-travelled group). We had friends come in for dinner who have rented for over 10 years in that area and all agreed it was far superior to all other places.

The spaciousness, the quiet, the coolness (we did not have to turn on the a/c even once),

the art work, the quality of furnishings, and the perfectly-stocked kitchen, all combined to make a flawless rental.

The management staff were extremely personable, spoke excellent English, and were very helpful. The maid service was the best I have seen in my last few years at any condo.

Not all units in this building have the great windows that this one does, so the natural light throughout the place is wonderful.

One of the best features of the property is the location. You are steps from the beach and in the heart of old town which has all the best restaurants, the art galleries, the musical events, the theatre, the markets, etc., etc.. No need for cars or taxis....you are at the most a ten-minute walk from everything and anything.

We cooked a lot. There is a set of Mexican recipe books in the cabinet that I would have loved to take home! Between the fresh seafood market two blocks away, a fresh fruit and veggie market about the same distance, and a wine store not much further, we had some amazing dinners!

Another "best" for this condo is the peace and quiet. Every place we have ever stayed in PV has had either all-night music blaring, dogs barking, roosters crowing from 4 a.m. on, or a combination of all three. In the entire two weeks, we had one night of loud music from across the bridge. It was over by 11, and really not even too noticeable if we closed the sliding glass doors to the outdoor living area. All the good nights of rest added a lot to a good holiday!

I am sure that anyone who stays at this place will always and forever try to book it first on any return visit to PV! We have already done it for next year.

Located in the old town the condo is ideally located for walking tours of the surrounding area which will give one sense of the original architecture of this town before it was a tourist destination and a glimpse into everyday life of the iocal inhabitants. The surrounding neighbourhood is a genuine mexican town and not an artificial tourist resort. It contains an amazing array of shope and restaurants that cater to all tastes and budgets.

Maid service is provided twice a week. There is also the option of having a cook come in to make meals. This we recommend for larger groups who wish to eat together in the comfort of their own home. The cook always leaves lots of leftovers for a meal the next day. There is a small bar/restaurant that operates at the pool and is available for drinks and snack for guests that don't wish to leave the pool area.
