About Lynne Bracker

My husband and I have lived in Tucson since 1976 when we came for graduate work at the University of Arizona and we plan to live here the rest of our lives. We love the casual lifestyle, the friendly Arizonans, and the weather where your picnics are never rained out. My husband and I are engineers, although I have recently entered the world of real estate as a salesperson. This is our only rental property and we plan to make it our eventual retirement home.

Lynne Bracker purchased this house in 2010

Why Lynne Bracker chose Tucson

We love the house; we love the neighborhood; we knew the previous owner and the builder. We love how you can sit outside in the u-shaped patio surrounded by incredible views of the city and surrounding mountains, or sit inside and feel like you're outside due to the large windows and glass doors. We love hearing the coyotes call to each other at night; we love watching the shooting stars; we love seeing the colorful hummingbirds sip nectar from flowers, watching the mule deer as they come down from the mountains in the afternoon to graze on the jojoba, and the javalina as they move in a herd through the desert. It's all right there at our doorstep. And finally, we love this property for its convenience. In minutes we can be downtown at the Convention Center, the University of Arizona, University Medical Center, some of the best restaurants in Tucson, museums, and attractions. We have the best of both worlds - desert tranquility and beauty while being within a 10 minute drive from Tucson and city life.

What makes this house unique

After searching properties for over a year, our casa, Entrada de los Montanas, was the choice. Its location offered million dollar views, and its layout made for a comfortable and relaxed living style. After a full year of working to upgrade the property, it was finally ready to offer to you, our visitors, for your vacation rental. From the new air conditioning and heating system to the carefully selected Southwestern furnishings we have tried to give visitors a WOW feeling from the time you open the front door until the day you leave. Comfort, privacy, beauty, convenience, ease and grace are words we hope our property conveys. We will strive to make your vacation the best one ever.

Best stay ever!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed three nights. During our stay we spent at the Pima air museum, Titan missile silo, and the sites around Tucson. The home is big with lots of room to spread out. There are lots of blooming flowers around the home that attracts hummingbirds and small finches. The home is very clean. There is a a jacuzzi and BBQ. Both worked well. The kitchen is well equipped with all sort of pans and dishes. Some more pluses of the home are the sunsets, the view of the city lights and twinkling stars.

Owner's Response: Thanks, Lainee. Are you sure your daughter doesn't want to finish her grad work in Tucson? (just kidding). Lots of luck to you all, and if you're ever in Tucson again, you know where to stay. Regards Lynne

Magnifient Views !

  • 5 of 5

We had the privilege of spending two weeks in this lovely home in March of 2015. At the end of our stay we still had not tired of the spectacular panoramic views of the City of Tucson, the Santa Catalina mountains across the valley, and the surrounding terrain. The three sections of the home (bedrooms, living room and dining room) form a horseshoe around a very private courtyard. The hot tub is a relaxing diversion after a long day of touring. The kitchen is well-equipped and functional. Hosts Lynne and Bill are very accommodating and eager to recommend area restaurants, sightseeing, etc. When one considers the cost of staying at one of the commercial resorts in the foothills of Tucson, the rental fees at this home are very competitive and provide an excellent alternative. We were sad to leave at the end of our stay and look forward to returning one day.

Amazing Rental

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with this rental. The view of Tucson was absolutely spectacular and we didn't see anything else like that when we traveled all around Tucson. It is also close to majority of the main attractions like the Desert Museum, Saguaro National Park, International Wildlife Museum, and many hiking trails. The house was clean, with plenty of room, large kitchen, and the courtyard was beautiful. I would highly recommend this place.

Best View in Tuscon

  • 5 of 5

This was a good home to rent with plenty of room and a great view of the City, especially at night. I would highly recommend this home to anyone. The owner was wonderful, even meeting us upon arrival, to show us everything in the home, we needed to know. I look forward to going back!

The beauty and history of the Old West - a place like no other on earth. Entrada de los Montanas (Entry to the Mountains) is situated in the foothills of Tucson's oldest mountain range, the Tucson Mountains. The 3000 foot elevation gives unobstructed city views as well as wrap-around mountain views. We are situated on the popular bike path of Gates Pass and back up to the Gates Pass County Park, a natural area studded with thousands of majestic giant Saguaro cacti and much desert wildlife, and with many hiking and bike trails. Although removed from the hustle bustle of the city, it is only a 5 to 10 minute drive to central downtown Tucson, the University of Arizona, the Tucson Convention Center, and Interstate I-10. A short 15 minute drive from our property west, across gorgeous Gates Pass will bring you to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum and Old Tucson Studios, the film location of many Western movies and the original Lone Ranger television series. The International Wildlife Museum is only a 3-minute drive away. Other easily accessible local attractions are Flandreau Planetarium, located on the University of Arizona campus, as is the Arizona State Museum which houses many Native American exhibits as well as ancient Western artifacts. A short hop onto I-10, about 5 minutes away, will take you east to Sabino Canyon where you can hike or ride the tram up the canyon and learn many interesting facts about desert plants and animals; the Pima Air Museum which houses many old and new aircraft and WWII memorabilia; Kartchner Caverns which has been named one of the 10 best cave networks in the world; and the historic western towns of Tombstone and Bisbee. Or travel west on I-10 to Phoenix and catch a Dbacks game. Whatever your daily activity you can return to casa Entrada de los Montanas, relax as you sit in the heated spa with a chilled glass of wine and look over the breathtaking views of the Tucson Valley; or watch hummingbirds sip nectar from the flowers in your private patio; or catch sight of the occasional roadrunner or coyote or perhaps even a bobcat or mule deer as they make their appearances in the cool of the afternoon. See the moon as it rises over the mountains or catch one of our many meteor showers. The absence of cloud cover and downtown street lights allow you to see as many as 30 meteors per second. As night falls use the telescope that we've provided to view the milky way and planets as you've never before seen them in the crystal clearness of the Arizona desert night air. We sincerely hope you will be our guests and we promise to do our utmost to make this your best vacation ever.
