Our lake getaway is the perfect place for a couple who wants peace and quiet or a family ready for adventure. The large picture windows and French doors let you see the mist on the lake in the morning, watch the fishing boats as they quietly pass, and see the first skiers enjoying the water. Our broad lakefront lot features a panoramic view from above the lake without being too far from the water. Magnificent lake views can be seen from every room with a breathtaking mountain vista as the backdrop. Our cabin is across the cove from the US Forest service property so your view across the lake will be clear of docks. We are located at the deep water end of Star Creek near a point which opens toward the main water of Lake Blue Ridge.
Sit atop the upper deck by day and watch the boats playing in the lake or relax in the large 2 person hammock. At night the same open deck becomes the place to sit comfortably in the lounging chairs, eat dinner at the outdoor table, or watch the starry sky. Fish from our dock in the cool morning. In the heat of the day, the adjacent screened porch is perfect for grilling and outdoor eating. On the terrace level, a covered deck hosts a 7 person hot tub with a fabulous view of the lake just steps away. The other covered deck on the terrace level is the perfect place for reading or relaxing in the hammock chair or outdoor rocking chairs.
Our house comes fully equipped with everything you will need from cooking supplies to linens. We provide soap, dishwashing detergent, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, cooking oil, and even some spices. We even provide toothbrushes in case you forgot yours. All you need are your personal items and a beach towel for a dip in the hot tub or the lake. The kitchen has new stainless steel appliances and seating for 3 at the island/bar. The teak dining table seats 8 people and there is outside seating for 8 at the two tables on the deck. A canoe, paddles and life jackets are included for guests to use on the lake.
