4 bedroom, 3 bath beautiful condo right on the beach in a luxurious complex

Our new listing, a 4 bedroom apartment, not only has an incredible view of the beach and the ocean, it is right in front of the beach, actually only steps away! Relax, as you sit on our balcony sipping your favorite refreshment hearing the waves as they gently splash on the beach!

The apartment is spacious, comfortable and beautifully decorated by well known Interior Decorator Tensi Ramirez. Each room (except the den) has a view of the beach! You can even wash the dishes (if you opt to do so-there's a dishwasher though) looking out at the beach. You'll love to see the moonlight streaking through the palm fronds or watch the sun come up while you sit on the porch hearing the waves crash on the sand. Almost poetic, don't you think? And to make your tropical experience easier the porch connects to the kitchen so you have access to Hors'douvers and all good things.

The beach in front of the apartment is over a mile long and curves toward the main part of the resort. Right next door to the apartment is the favorite of all the young ones, The BEACH CLUB, with it's slides,2 pools- one for the kiddies with their own slides and one for teens and grownups (who think they are teens). The facility also has a large jacuzzi, volleyball court, a restaurant and two bars. If you continue walking on the beach you will reach the Beach Bohio, a wooden structure right on the beach that serves libations and food. It is a hangout for the whole family with music, games for the little ones, surfing and boogie boarding right in front.

Back to the apartment (I got sidetracked due to my excitement about the beach!): The apartment's complex is luxurious, the grounds are beautiful and well kept, Security is excellent. It also has 2 swimming pools.a large jacuzzi, a gym and a play yard for the little ones. There are huge wrap around beach umbrellas, chaise lounges and beach towels, all supplied by the complex. And to top it all off we have a 'CONCIERGE' that will make reservations for you, solve any problems that you may have, give you directions and reserve and set up your lounge chair and bring you a ice chest full of ice while you lounge!

The apartment is on the second floor, has an elevator (it is WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE) and is fully air conditioned. The kitchen has a granite countertop and is fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, ovens, clothes washer and dryer, etc. The Master bedroom has a king size bed, a TV, a beautifull view of the beach and a modern beautiful bathroom with granite countertops. a large tub and separate beautifully tiled shower. The second bedroom has a queen sized bed, a view of the beach and a full bathroom. The 3rd bedroom is a lock-out with a king size bed, a small porch and a TV. It has its own bathroom with a granite countertop. The den has 3 twin beds which double as couches, and a TV. The lovely living room faces the porch, has a beach view, and a couch with a double pull out bed. So you see this condo is fully loaded and technically, all you have to bring is your bathing suit!

But that's not all !!. There are plenty of other activities in the resort. I have already mentioned the Beach Club but we also have 2 gorgeous 18 hole championship golf courses, 22 Tennis courts, an equestrian center where you can rent horses and ride on the beach (if the turtles are not nesting), 15 restaurants and a gambling casino, not to mention 2 marinas with charter yachts for deep sea fishing, scuba diving, snorkeling or day trips to the stunning islands of Vieques or Culebras. Sounds like an ideal spot for a vacation!! Actually,It's also an ideal place to live (which is why I've been living here for 17 years!).

About Jose Beauchamp

Hi! I was born and raised in Puerto Rico. I attended the Wharton School of Finance and Economics of the University of Pennsylvania. I received a law degree from the University of Puerto Rico and a Masters Degree in law from the University of London. I am currently 'retired' but have 2 properties in Palmas del Mar which I rent on a short term basis. This rental business keeps me very busy, reason for the little marks around the word retired. My other property is a house listed on Homeaway and VRBO with the listing number 397428. As you can probably tell by now, I have a horrible sense of humor! Oh, my favorite pastime is traveling. I have lived in Palmas for 17 years but to clarify, I do not currently live in any of my rental properties so you will not have to share a room with me!

This property is special in that not only is the complex where it is located stunning but the apartment itself is unbelievably close to the beach. Not to often these days do you have the chance to own a property where you can hear the soothing sound of the waves from your porch and your bedrooms. .

Palmas del Mar is also a unique place, with amazing amenities and services all within the resort. I moved to Palmas 17 years ago and never looked back. My daughter went to school in Palmas (Palmas Academy), She could go to school in a golf cart, her doctors had their offices here, she learned to sail, horse back ride and golf here. It is also a wonderful destination for weddings. Beware, once you visit us you may never leave.

What makes this condo unique

This condo is unbelievably close to the beach. It is beautifully decorated, and all the rooms have an ocean view except one. Our beachfront complex, the Marbella Club is the most luxurious in all of Palmas del Mar, with 2 beautiful pools, a large jacuzzi and georgeous lobbies with fountains and lush vegetation. Palmas del Mar, 'the resort', has many amenities which are available to our visitors. (The Beach Club, 2 golf courses, 22Tennis Courts, Equestrian center, gambling Casino, 15 restaurants, etc..

Beautiful vacation condo

we had a fabulous time in this gorgeous condo.. the view from all the rooms was quite stunning.. from our arrival, where we were met by Rudy from Rudy Realty to our departure a week later, everything was more than we could have imagined. Rudy explained everything and gave us a very informative booklet with a map, restaurants and things to do.. The view of the pools and ocean was so nice to wake up to every morning.. the condo was so comfortable with it's designer furnishings. you could tell a lot of time and money had been spent on the rich fabrics, comfortable bedding and relaxing living room furniture.. the kitchen was well equipped for cooking (but there were so many good places to eat out).. we spend LOTS of time on the patio, having breakfast, lunch and even an occasional dinner.. from walking all over Palmas, we feel the Marbella Club was the best location in all of Palmas del Mar.. Palmas was a wonderful location for day trips to El Yunque(45 min.),the bioluminescent bay (50 min) and San Juan (45 min).. meeting Jose and Lissette was so much fun and we had a great evening with them.. thanks so much for your hospitality... we have such wonderful memories from our week at Palmas del Mar and this condo.. the pictures of the condo are very accurate but it is even better in person.

Beautiful memories at Marbella!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your beautiful condo. Your property manager Rudy was very accommodating and helpful. He was very generous with his time and made sure we had everything we needed. The accommodations were very comfortable. We especially enjoyed the porch area looking out at the ocean. The pool area and beach area were very accessible and beautiful. Everyone at Palmas Del Mar was very friendly and helpful. They made us feel very welcome. We always felt very safe and secure in the gated community, which was especially important since we were traveling with small children. The only negative thing I have to say is that the air conditioning unit in the lockout bedroom was not working when we arrived which made for some uncomfortable nights. Rudy was very quick to get the air conditioning people to come and look at it and it was fixed in a couple of days as a part had to be ordered to fix it. That issue was just a minor bump in the road and didn't detract from out overall experience. We are already planning our next trip to Puerto Rico and hope that your condo is available for us again next year! Thank you for everything!

Great location and comfortable, clean villa

Palmas del Mar is a wonderful gated community with plenty of restaurants and a small food store a short drive away with the gates. The Marbella Club is its own enclave within Palmas. The beach at the villa is really narrow but another beach a 10 minute walk away is wider and much longer and my teenagers loved the waves for body surfing. The pools at the Marbella Club are really clean (and larger than the photos make them look) and the hot tub can fit 20 people!

The villa itself is clean and well-stocked and we slept 10 in the three bedrooms with the generous addition upon arrival of two air mattresses by Jose and Rudy. The outdoor deck with tables and chairs was perfect for coffee in the morning and card games in the evening. You can hear the sound of the surf as you fall off to sleep. We kept the air conditioning off most the time and the breeze was amazing and there were very few bugs.

You will love this villa!

Accommodations not accurately described

My family (4 adults, 4 children) rented this unit from December 7 through December 12. While the unit did have 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and had a lovely view of the ocean as described in VRBO, this is where the accuracy ends. The unit is very worn with missing tiles in one master bathroom, a sagging closet ceiling in the other master bathroom and a very poorly equipped kitchen. Each bathroom had 2 bath towels, 1 hand towel and no washrags. The kitchen had no dish towels and the faux laminate on the cabinets was coming off. One of the biggest concerns we had was an unlocked storage closet in one of the master bedrooms that was filled with tiles, light fixtures and cleaning supplies. In the kitchen on the bottom shelf of one of the cabinets we found 3 cans of charcoal lighter fluid and a rusted can of chrome polish within easy reach of children. The kitchen was overrun with bugs to the point we had to sanitize the counters each day with water and bleach. We decided to make the best of the poor accommodations until we were notified by the building manager while we were touring in San Juan that the bathroom in our unit was leaking into the unit below. When we returned to the unit, we were told that we couldn’t use the master bedroom bathroom, yet the building manager and plumber were unsure of the source of the leak. We were told that the floor would possibly have to be torn up to discover the source of the leak. I finally called the owner, Jose, to apprise him of the situation and express my displeasure with the condition of the condo. His response to the bathroom issue was, “so what, you have other bathrooms.” He didn’t understand why I was sitting in the condo when I should be outside; after all he advertised a unit with an ocean view and isn’t that what we had? I was in the condo waiting for the building manager who was supposed to meet me at 2:00 p.m. to examine the bathroom and didn’t show up until after 3:00 p.m. Jose was defensive and rude, telling me that we wouldn’t allow the building manager or the plumber access to the unit. In reality, we asked the manager to wait to access the unit until one of us was available to be there with him. Upon checkout on December 12, a representative of the building manager gave us a $500 check for our difficulties, which bounced upon deposit. Unfortunately, this unit was nothing like its description or pictures on VRBO and the issues led to less than wonderful vacation.

Those were the adjectives ALL of my prior renters used in their reviews to describe our property. Not one of the renters said anything negative about the condo. Therefore it was a surprise to hear a renter describe our property as worn down, our listing inaccurate and our accommodations poor. No doubt the fact that we developed a leak in our third bathroom was unfortunate, said leak being an unforeseeable and unexpected accident. While I respect your opinion, I feel that the problem with the bathroom greatly distressed you and you chose to make good on your threat to write a bad review. Your statements that there were no towels, that the kitchen was overrun by bugs or that there were missing tiles are not accurate and exaggerated. I’m truly sorry that we had this problem but we did try to resolve it as soon as we could but not having access to the apartment (as you requested that the work be done after you left) hindered our efforts. No homeowner can guarantee that accidents, such as this, will not happen. The only thing an owner can do is try to resolve the problem as soon as possible, which I feel we did. One last clarification: I was never rude nor yelled as you did. You apparently never realized the position we were in: the downstairs neighbor was complaining about the water flowing into his apartment. Although he demanded that we immediately fix the problem we could not do so because of your refusal to let us do our work until you left. Finally, you failed to mention that we immediately sent you a $500 bank manager’s check which we felt was more than fair due to the fact that we advertised a condo with 3 bathrooms and for 2 days you only had 2 bathrooms available.

Puerto Rico Getaway

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Puerto Rico and here at Palmas Del Mar. The accommodations were elegant and spacious, with all of the amenities of home and then some; I was especially impressed by the tankless water heater, which supplied ample hot water for six adults.

We were 45 minutes to an hour drive to all of the must see places in Puerto Rico.
