This property has all the necessities needed to eat, sleep and have a good time on Syracuse Lake. There are three bedrooms with all the linens provided. The kitchen is furnished with pots, pans and cooking utensils if you decide to eat in. A large yard that leads to the lake provides a nice shady spot for those who decide to stay dry. Along with the sandy lake bottom the water depth increases gradually and is safe for small children to play and have fun.
Hi Karen & Rolly,
Just wanted to say thanks again for letting us stay at your wonderful lake house! We had such a great weekend!! Most of it was spent in or on the water – swimming, boating, fishing, or just sitting in chairs at the end of the pier – what a great location! Your neighbors were all very friendly too. And the house had everything we needed. It was so nice to have the air conditioning upstairs for sleeping, since we had some very hot weather.
You were great to work with – so glad everything worked out (especially since we were so last minute)!
Best wishes to you –
My wife and I both grew up in two small towns in Noble County in the state of Indiana. She graduated from West Noble High school and I graduated from Ligonier High School. We moved to Sedona, Arizona after I retired in 2013.
We both water skied on Syracuse Lake when we were younger and spent a lot of time making friends. Syracuse Lake connects to Lake Wawasee which broadened our scope when exploring. When we were able to purchase a lakefront home we choose Syracuse Lake. At last our childhood dreams came true. Syracuse Lake provided a great place to enjoy all the water sports and winter activities as well. I was able to continue my love for fishing that I developed as a kid. Northern Pike was my target in the summer and winter. We have enjoyed quiet sunset cruises around the lake. We also enjoy sailing, tubing and water skiing. During the winter we have been able to ice fish, ice skate and cross country ski right from our back door.
The house is lake level and a short walk to the end of the pier. Plenty of private beach and room to park your boat or jet skis. Boat launch 1/2 block away. The parks, restaurants, shops and library are within walking distance. During the spring, summer and fall, the Farmer's Market is 3 blocks away. The Fourth of July Fireworks are positioned directly in front of our home as well as the Winter Festival. We are 45 minutes away from Notre Dame and tailgating before the big game!
Attractions near by: Bass Fishing Tournaments, the S.S. Lily Pad on Lake Wawasee, Amish Acres, White Front Shops and The Antique Mall in North Webster, Shipshewana Flea Market, Notre Dame Football.
