We loved this condo! This was a trip with the girls, and we loved having 3 big bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. They really did a good job of furnishing this condo for travelers who fly in to Puerto Rico and it had everything we needed for our stay.
There were nice little touches that set this apart from other rentals we've used in the past. We were pleasantly surprised to find some cold bottled water on our arrival. There was also a small collection of spices, oil and vinegar, and we were so thankful to find some laundry detergent. We used some things and left some new treasures behind for the next group. They even had full sized shampoo and conditioner in the showers! There were lots of towels for heading down to the pool. But our favorite part was the big deck and its gorgeous view of the ocean. This unit is situated so the deck is protected from the sun much of the day. Sun lovers can head down to one of the two pools or the ocean. We lived on the deck. They have a table and chairs, as well as a nice patio set and a grill.
The unit is clean and tastefully decorated. The beach is amazing and we were able to go on long walks everyday on the private beach as all of the neighboring developments are part of the same property. The beach hut was a wonderful treat and we would walk down to it for lunch or a beverage. We also felt very safe at this location as there were several security checkpoints on our way in, and this unit is on the third floor.
We can't wait to go back!
Overall this is a great unit. View was manificant, and the units was as advertised. The olny two issues we had is there is no diswasher, and many of the dishes , glasses and silverware were greasy. It was as if someone had merely rinsed off the dishes, without throuroughly cleaning them
I was part of a group that stayed there on the 9th of January and I would love to let all future tenants how much I loved staying in the property. Puerto Rico is a beautiful country with lots of activities to do, but this really made the trip worth it. To start off, Norma is very pleasant and easy to reach at all times since the booking of the property through the entire stay. I haven’t seen customer service that good in a very long time. Crescent beach is the best part of Palmas Del Mar Resort. The staff is great, it has plenty of fun activities, it has 3 pools, and is beachfront. The pictures don’t do it justice. It is simply breathtaking! The place was very clean, spacious for our group of 10 with 3 bathrooms (which for a large group is great), and is fully equipped with everything you’ll need. I forgot shampoo and towels, but that place had it all. I was only disappointed leaving. I recommend it for a worry-free stay.
I was part of a group of family and friends who stayed in this property at the Palmas der Mar resort and let me tell you we where amazed. The resort was beautiful and very high maintenance. It had restaurants, casinos, mini market and a gorgeous beach. We rented a golf cart which was available there as a option and we had a blast strolling trough and catching the scenery. Now to talk about my experience on Crescent Beach which is where the apt was inside the resort. From the moment we arrived at the front gate we where greeted with respect and courtesy. The staff where very friendly and very helpful. We also had two cars and luckily there was a good amount of spaces available. As we arrived inside the apt everything was spotless clean, fully equipped and well decorated with extremely good taste. It was a modern looking apt and it looked like it was well taken care off. The place had 3 pools and was walking distance from the beach. We spent a large amount of time on the huge porch grilling and enjoying the beach view. The porch was pretty large sized. Mrs. Norma was the best host we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She was always available for anything we needed. She sent us lots of links with near by attractions, driving directions and arrival instructions. I my self and every one who i was with recommend this property to anyone wanting to have the best vacation in Puerto Rico with no worries.
Our family spent the Christmas and New Year holidays at this condo and absolutely all agreed that one would be hard pressed to find a nicer spot to stay. Our family is well traveled and included ages 1 to 65. The kids loved the pools and spent a lot of time playing on the beach. There are a lot of opportunities for day trips for the adventurous, and ample time to just sit and watch the waves roll in if one is so inclined. There is a really fun water park just down the street with water slides, pools, playground, kiddie pools, waterfalls, and a good restaurant. There a several spots to have dinner, a casino, marina, golf, tennis, horse stable, spa, grocery, bank, and other tourist services. Car rentals and golf carts are also available in Palmas.Only a little over an hour from San Juan it may prove easier to arrange for a shuttle service to deliver you to the resort.
The Crescent Beach compound is clean, modern, and safe. This particular condo is very comfortable and about the only real complaint we had was the lack of a dishwasher. Our contact, Norma, was very helpful and responded quickly to questions. Without hesitation, all nine of us would encourage you to make a reservation. (Only not when we want to visit)
As we prepared for our family of 5 to travel to PR, Norma was so helpful in getting me local information and on what I didn't need to pack. As we pulled into PDM gates, we were surprised by the instant resort setting. Gorgeous!! We got to Crescent Beach condos and were greeted by their friendly security at the gate. The condo was easy to get to by the elevator that takes you practically to the front door. The condo was just as pictured. Very spacious and the view of the beach was glorious! The deck is large with chairs and tables and there's a gas grill (made my husband happy). We had a couple of little minor hiccups and Norma was quick to respond and fix them. Nothing major in any way. There's not a dishwasher, so I suggest getting paper plates and cups if you don't want to do dishes each day:)
The area is quiet and not crowded. The beach is wide (not deep) and you can go on long walks seeing iguanas, find shells and sea-glass. Security is always around. And there are cleaning crews going up and down the beach daily to keep the seagrass and trash to a minimum.
My kids are 13 and 7. They had a blast riding boogies boards in the ocean all day. There are coconut palms everywhere so there was no problem finding shade trees. We would run over to the pool to cool down and go back to the beach again. My mom has some disabilities and isn't able to walk far at all. She didn't have a problem getting around since the beach and pool are steps away.
We ate at a few places at the Plaza, which is for PDM community only. It's an open area with several restaurants and stores. The food was good, not great. Do NOT wait till you are hungry to go. Island time is not an exaggeration. One place took 2 hours to get food. But everyone is laid back and super friendly. Expect to hang out and have a few drinks. Kids loved to run around in the center. Our last night there we ate at the Blue Hawaiian and the service there was good and quick! The Market offers a lot of staples and their prices were not high! I found myself heading there a few times. They even have a gluten free section:) Wal Mart is literally 15 minutes away. But don't trust Siri to get you there. Use Google maps to go anywhere outside PDM. Signs in PR are in Spanish so pay attention to the route numbers on the signs.
We spent a day on Culebra island. I recommend that visit to everyone! It's gorgeous and we swam with sea turtles!
We will be returning to PDM again! Hopefully working with Norma:) She's a delight!
