If you have never rented vrbo previously, this home is a great place to start. House is exactly as represented, no disappointments or surprises. Rental company is professional, costs are clear, paperwork supplied as promised, etc. Home is well maintained, linens, towels, etc are appropriate to a rental in this price range. (many times they are NOT!) We are "cooks" and kitchen is decently equipped. Between the log cabin feel and bear decor, you feel as if you are in vacation from the moment you step in the door! An excellent home for several couples to share, as the bedrooms are fairly "equal" - all have access to a deck sitting area, all have flat screen TV's and private baths, etc. the living room has 2 soda's and several rockers, so plenty of seating. (I hate large homes with one chair and one sofa- where is Sverige supposed to sit!) Hot tub is on lower deck, so doesn't obstruct view or create noise for those in the lower bedrooms, and pool is located next to house so no
chlorine smell in living area! Pool and hot tub are well maintained, decks have quality furniture to enjoy the views.
Which is the ONLY caveat I would offer on this property - the view is good, not spectacular. it is definitely a subjective rating, and others could completely disagree! (You cannot have spectacular and be this close to town, it not a fault of this particular home.) You can see other homes from the decks, so it is not completely private...but it is NOT one of those areas where cabins are on top of one another! IMO, it is a reasonable trade off of location, view, privacy, and convenience - especially if you plan to be out and about in the area. If you want complete seclusion and 360 views,you will not be happy here.
Between the pool, hot tub, game room, and super size TV, you could bring a family, never leave the cabin, and be perfectly content. Otherwise, the location makes it easy to enjoy the park and other attractions in the area.
The cabin is pricier than some - but you are getting what you pay for. Enjoy...
