Imagine, lazy mornings spent sipping coffee on your deck enjoying the sunrise watching the forest come to life - Otters, Great Blue Herons, fish, deer, and larger collection of wild birds not to mention the bald eagles soaring overhead. Spend your morning’s beach combing the sandstone tidal pools and white shell beaches on the nearby beachfront. Spend your afternoons reading relaxing, hiking, biking or sightseeing!
Accommodations: : Coach House country cottage includes 1 large bedroom with down comforters and luxury sheets, 1 full bath provided with towels and sundries, and a large fully equipped kitchen with full size appliances (All dishes, towels, cookware, sundries and utensils are provided,). Ask and we can even get your initial grocery shopping done. Our large front room offers sweeping views of the gardens and lake below. The window seat in the front room converts to a double bed and there is an additional roll away single twin bed (sleeps up to 5 quests). The cottage also has a wood burning fireplace/stove with a generous wood supply just out the front door. There is a large private deck overlooking the property. Internet, Wi-Fi, and television with cable and surround sound is also included.

How about a nearby excursion?: Local very good restaurants such as the nearby Crow and Gate Authentic English Pub as well as the Dingy Dock Pub in Nanaimo are very popular dinner destinations. Ale is always flowing! The gourmet's delightful Mahle House is close by in the Village of Cedar. Those of you who preferor fresh sea food from the docks.
Nanaimo's downtown offers seawalls, shops, restaurants, galleries and museums (15 min away), and the Port Theatre. Ladysmith's picturesque historic Main Street is 4 miles south along with the Maritime Society and Waterfront Gallery. The close by town of Chemainus, home of the murals, is noted for its splendid dinner and theatre productions and shops.
A daytrip 90 minutes south to Victoria the lovely Capital City of British Columbia will give you the opportunity to enjoy a tour our Parliament Buildings, Butchart Gardens, enjoy the city's British heritage, excellent shopping, museums, galleries, wax museum, parks and many activities!

The property has been used for many special events such as Charity fund raising, garden tours, meetings, Catered outdoor dinner events, and weddings. The property rental for Special events include the use of the private cottage; kitchen, bathroom, and includes one night stay.

Wedding
Have your wedding in the outdoor pergola on the lakeside with ducks and geese swimming by. Stay in the cottage house for your first night.
We have accomodated many wedding on our property. There are several locations on the property to have your ceremony , and the reception may be catered using both the outdoor facilities and the private cottage house; kitchen, bathroom. The property rental includes the cottage for use during your event and one night stay.
