Relax into Polynesian Paralysis

My wife and I stayed for 10 nights in April 2013 and give Tropical Sands Luxury Suite a “highly recommended” rating. The owners have put a lot of effort into making sure guests have everything you could possibly need during a stay, including toys, chairs, and towels for the beach. We were able to prepare and cook our meals in the kitchen without once having to wish for an appliance or utensil that wasn’t available. The washer/dryer was a real bonus for our longer stay enabling us to always have clean clothes and dry towels. The outdoor eating area in the private entrance garden has a big grill for fish and steaks and was enjoyed on a daily basis. The garden has a nice water feature with plenty of shade and a little sun in the afternoon for a tanning touch-up. The location on a cul-de-sac at the end of a quiet residential street is equidistant from the Kailua commercial district (shopping, restaurants, food stores, etc,) in one direction and the uncrowded Kailua Beach in the other, and both can be reached with a short walk of 10 minutes or less. For entertainment there is WiFi for your laptop or smartphone, a radio and two cable TVs, one in the bedroom and one in the kitchen/living area, as well as a DVD player if you want to rent a movie to watch. We were also non-electronically entertained by the local bird and gecko population in the garden. The place was very clean for our arrival and we found the queen bed comfortable with plenty of pillows. Although there is an air-conditioning unit in the bedroom that will cool down the all the rooms, we never felt the need to turn it on and slept well under a cover with only the ceiling fan providing air circulation. When we first entered through the separate entrance gate we saw a sign on the wall that says “RELAX”, and that is something very easy to accomplish at Tropical Sands. We will stay here again on our next visit to Oahu.

Owner's Response: We are so pleased to have you come and experience the bliss of our Tropical Splendor. As the nice ocean breeze rustles through the canopy of trees, and you fix your gaze on the variety of colorful, cheerful birds, while listening to the gentle splash of the water fountain - your mind calms, and you can not help but relax. Tropical Sands, No Ka Oi!
It was very nice to meet you and look forward to your anual return as so many of our Guest aka friends do. Aloha Nui Loa
