A Week in the Sun

My friends and I stayed at Descansito for a week in June and it was phenomenal! We were hoping for an inexpensive solution close to the beach, and this was a steal, the best deal we found in Myrtle Beach. The resort is right on the beach and it takes about a minute to walk to the ocean. We were blown away by the number of pools, hot tubs, and lazy rivers the resort has to offer. We really enjoyed these later at night when it was dangerous to swim in the ocean. The condo itself had everything we could ask for, as twenty-somethings looking for some fun. We really enjoyed cooking and eating our meals, and often liked to play the board games Robin and George provided after dinner. The tvs and beds were wonderful on the day we decided to stay in out of the sun for the day, very comfortable! I was pleasantly surprised to find the living room with the murphy bed had a locking door, it made a wonderful second bedroom, away from the kitchen and bathroom. We didn't rent a car, and though this made things a tad more complicated, the walk to the grocery store was very manageable at about ten minutes. We also found some great restaurants at a little further of a walk, but who cares when the walk is in the sand next to the ocean! On a side note, we also really loved the in-resort restaurant. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was really refreshing. All of the people at the resort were really helpful with our questions. We would definitely recommend Descansito! Our vacation was fabulous!
