This lake home offers something for everyone. A large grassy lawn meets the sandy shore of beautiful Lake Edward, one of the biggest, clearest, best-kept secrets in the area. The kids will love building sand castles on the beach and swimming in the gently sloping shore. Or follow the beach around the bend (about 3 city blocks away) and rent a kayak, fishing boat, pontoon or ski boat.
With breathtaking views and 2200 sq. ft of living space on the main level there's plenty of room for family fun or to slip away with a good book. Lake Edward, one of the largest lakes in the area, is about 3 miles long by 2 miles wide, and with water clarity of 11 feet, it is also one of the clearest. The maximum depth is 76 feet; average depth is 12 feet. It has a healthy population of fish: walleye, northern pike, largemouth bass, black crappie, bluegill sunfish, pumpkinseed sunfish, rock bass, yellow perch, bullhead, dogfish (bowfin), tullibee (cisco) and white sucker. There are 5 resorts on the lake, just enough to prove its desirability but not so many that it is crowded. The shore soil is 100% sand!
Lake Edward is one of the most beautiful lakes in the northwoods and with boat rental and a public landing nearby, you can enjoy fishing, boating, skiing, tubing, swimming, wildlife watching, and star gazing! Abundant wildlife, including eagles, geese, ducks, loons, deer, and heron, make regular appearances, especially early morning. Sleeping in is wonderful. But to catch the first glimpse of sunrise blazing across a still, glassy lake—its brilliance spilling into the horizon and shrouding Lake Edward in a hazy array of magenta and gold—is to experience Nature’s finest moment. It will totally rock your morning!
After a few days of water sports, reading, relaxing in the sun, and wildlife watching, you may be ready for the northwoods. Just 2 miles away the Paul Bunyan trail winds northward; bike it, skate it, jog it, or walk it. The terrain of the Paul Bunyan Trail ranges from flat and open to hilly and scenic. Along the 110 miles of trail there are many areas to stop and rest and enjoy the natural beauty of Northern Minnesota. Hey, take along your swim suits! You may want to take a dip in one of the lakes along the trail. And check out the coffee houses, cafés, and unique shops in the trailside villages of Nisswa and Pequot Lakes.
Or head out to Breezy Point for a round of golf or to Benville Stables for trail riding. Catch a movie in Baxter or race go-carts, play miniature golf, take a walk in the arboretum, or enjoy a fine meal. The Brainerd Lakes area offers something for everyone!
Closer to home, other amenities include wireless internet, a fully equipped kitchen, large living room with a gas fireplace and a big screen TV with cable. A small workout area that includes a treadmill, 2 recumbent bikes, and TV. Washer and Dryer are available for your use. Cell phone reception in this area is excellent.

Thank you so much for the rental of your lake home to our family. We all had a wonderful time. Lake Edward was a beautiful, clean lake and your beach was so sandy and nice. We rented jet ski's, caught some nice fish for a meal, and I am looking forward to coming back next year. I think our family found a 'diamond in the rough' when I contacted you on the internet. We had never done anything like that before. I am so glad you made our experience so enjoyable. You made me comfortable through the entire process. We thank you again. And look forward to coming back to your beautiful lake home next year!

We absolutely loved every minute of every day. Dad finally caught his first walleye after trying for 3 years. We went to the turtle races, visited Pioneer Village, and walked through a train in Nisswa. We swam a LOT and the minnows gave us a massage on our feet. We hope to be here again next year.

We had a wonderful time and the kids did not want to leave :) Your lake house is very nice and more than met our expectations. The fishing was excellent right where you mentioned - just off your shore area. We caught about half a dozen 15 inch - 18 inch bass and my husband caught a northern that was about 18 inches long. We had quite a few catches that came off the hook right as we brought them to the boat too. We are relatively new to fishing, so we are still figuring it out, but it was fun to catch the 'big ones.' We really enjoyed Lake Edward and your sandy beach. It is my favorite out of all the lakes we have been to. It is nice and big, and there was very little activity on the lake, so it made slalom skiing and wake boarding a real treat. Even when the wind was gustier on one part of the lake, we could find smooth water on a different part of the lake. I also like that Lake Edward's depths are consistent in that we did
