TREE TOPS VIEWS OF C. V. VILLAGE AND CLOSE TO MANY WEDDING SITES

Carmel Valley House Rental Photos and Description

House, 5 Bedrooms + Loft + Office, 3 Baths, (Sleeps 13)

This beautifully maintained five bedroom, three bath home, with additional loft and family area, makes for a lovely Carmel Valley retreat. It is beautifully furnished and the kitchen area makes it nice for intimate family gatherings with casual dining, while the formal hand-made mahogony furniture provides an elegant setting for more formal dining. There is a formal living area as well as a more casual family room. While the house is spacious, smaller groups enjoy it as well. On the main floor is the kitchen with dining area, four of the five bedrooms, bathrooms, formal dining room, and new poker table room! The bedrooms all have separate entrances and bathrooms are near to all!

The house overlooks the beautiful Carmel Valley hills and one can walk to the Village for wine tasting or whatever! Relax on the patio with a patio heater (one rarely needs it) and sip a glass of wine while watching the sun set. Watch as the fog rolls in, but usually stops short of the Village. The house is nicely set up for three king bedrooms, one of which is 400 s.f.! Each with its own entrance, and two queen-size rooms. There are a total of three beautiful bathrooms, two showers and one bathtub. Or, come as a couple and enjoy the house with the 400 s.f. master with flat screen and dining table (in the room) for sipping wine and watching the northern views. You will most likely see the wild turkeys and deer as well!

Additionally, there is a large loft which has been lovingly set up for children with a twin size bed, a full size bed and children's furniture and toys. The downstairs queen room also has its own family room and television--a great place for casual relaxing. The house is great for just a couple or two, or for a larger gathering. There are a total of three flat screen televisions, wireless internet, of course, and an XBox Kinnect by prior arrangement!

Keywords: Beautiful home boasting 5 bedrooms/3 baths. 3,300 s.f. Upstairs loft for children, with additional family room downstairs. Formal living room and dining room, as well as office room/.desk and game/poker table! Spacious outside patio and BBQ.

We are a professional couple who have lived in Carmel Valley most of our lives. We are very involved in the community. We are present/past members of Carmel Valley Kiwanis, Carmel Valley Community Chapel, Carmel Valley Little League, members of various pet organizations and enjoy hot rods, collecting 'junk!' In addition, we are recipients of the 'coveted' Carmel Valley Chamber of Commerce 'Good Egg Award!' Cindy grew up in Carmel Valley and attended schools in Carmel from Kindergarten through High School, and recently obtained her Master's Degree in Education. Mike attended Pacific Grove High School and Monterey Peninsula College. His high school/college days revolved around cruising Alvarado Street in Monterey! One can still find him cruising occasionally in his 1955 Chevy 210, but now must balance that with a business and employees! We currently make our home in Carmel Valley--who could leave?

Cindy purchased this house in 1990

Carmel Valley is undisputedly one of the most beautiful places on earth with stellar weather. Having grown up here, we love the sense of community and the sense of belonging. People in the Valley love their community and are involved in the many charitable events that take place to keep our Village so quaint. Memories of playing as a child in the Carmel River bring me much happiness. After a good rain we can hear the river running in the distance. We feel that living in Carmel Valley is like living in a resort. Sometimes we have to pinch ourselves to see if it's for real! We married as high school sweethearts and it was our dream to one day own a home in Carmel Valley. There were a lot of baby steps to take in order to buy/build/remodel here, but we made it! We also had the pleasure of raising our two sons in Carmel Valley. What a wonderful place to grow up. There was always something for them to do.

The moment we drove onto the property, we knew it was for us. The house was sadly in need of some TLC and we spent years perfecting it. It is somewhat tucked away, yet close to schools, the Village, etc. We loved the oak trees, the deer, the turkeys, and the way that neighbors were friendly, smiled, and always there to lend a helping hand.

We are within walking distance to Carmel Valley Village (well, you have to like a hill) and it's lovely wine tasting rooms. We are 20 minutes to Carmel-by-the-Sea and within thirty minutes to Monterey, Pebble Beach, and Pacific Grove. A short twenty minute drive to Laguna Seca. Five minutes to Holman Ranch, 15 minutes to Carmel Valley Ranch and The Holly Farm. We have several 'secret' swimming hole spots along the Carmel River. Within minutes one can begin a long walk or a rigorous hike at Garland Regional Park. Take a day and go to the Aquarium with our passes and watch the penguins and the sea otters frolick.

We are our dogs' 'people' and they love walking us every morning up to the sprawling Meadow and the dog-friendly Community Center Park! We also have several favorite restaurants in the Village, including Cafe Rustica, The Running Iron, Will's Fargo, Bernardus, and Los Laureles Lodge. Walk to the Village and get a great cup of coffee and fresh baked goods from the Wild Goose Cafe. Recently opened is LoKal (yummy, yummy) and for a cheap treat, check out Katthy's Little Kitchen!

One can also make a nice day trip to Big Sur--it's 20 minutes to Highway One and then 26 miles to Big Sur. We are just a great base for about anything....go in the opposite direction (northwest) and visit Santa Cruz and the Beach Boardwalk.

Excellent Vacation Stay

  • 5 of 5
Cindy was wonderful to work with from the beginning and made sure our stay was very comfortable. We had a party of 12 for a tennis tournament in Carmel Valley, so I was a little nervous if there would be enough room. My worries were essentially dismissed upon entering the house. The open floor plan from the kitchen to the dining room provided ample space for everyone to congregate for meals and drinks. The patio area is very nice for relaxing and soaking in the cool weather. I had several people from our team tell me how much they appreciated being able to stay together and that they felt very comfortable with the accommodations. Cindy’s and Mike’s home provided an excellent get away and we hope to be back soon.

Great house. Close to Holman Ranch where all 10 of us had to go back and forth for a wedding. Cindy was more than accommodating and it was perfectly okay to bring our little dog.

Comfortable & Convenient!

Comfortable & Convenient!
  • 5 of 5
We had a group of 10 staying at Cindy's beautiful home right in Carmel Valley Village for a wedding nearby at Carmel Valley Ranch. Our group actually had rented a couple houses in the area, so we did not spend a ton of time there as this was really meant to be the "sleeping house". The pictures are absolutely accurate, the property is gorgeous and the house is beautiful, comfortable, spacious, and very clean. Cindy's home very comfortably accommodated our group, and Cindy could not have been more helpful! Getting into town was incredibly easy, even walkable if you wanted, and it was only a 10 minute drive from the wedding venue, which was terrifically convenient. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone attending a wedding in the area.

Great spaces and wonderful views

  • 5 of 5
We attended a wedding at Holman Ranch and this home was perfectly located! It is just minutes from the ranch. The owners were extremely accommodating and the home was perfect for our group. We were 10 adults and 1 child and felt the spaces worked very well. Would definitely stay there again!

Great place to stay for Concours week

  • 5 of 5
Our group of 4 rented Cindy's house for the Concours D'Elegance at Pebble Beach. The location was ideal for access to Laguna Seca Raceway, traveling into Carmel and Monterey to view cars and auctions was convenient. Carmel Valley has a variety of restaurants within a very short distance of the house without the traffic, congestion and waiting to be seated. The house is very large and very comfortable. The kitchen and house were well stocked with utensils and sundries. The patio was our favorite place to to BBQ and have dinner. The patio heater made it comfortable even as the evening temperatures dropped. The home is very clean and well kept. The views of the valley from the dining room and several of the bedrooms were stunning. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much. The house is equipped with large TVs in the living room and the master bedroom. The WIFI and Cable TV worked flawlessly during our stay.

Cindy was very professional. She kept in communication as the arrival date approached, coordinating with our arrival.

Our group had plenty of room. One thing for other renters consider, as mentioned by others in their review, is that one of the large bedrooms on the main floor is a pass through to the master bedroom. The separate access to the master bedroom through french doors out to the patio allows for entry without going through the pass through bedroom. There are two showers available in bathrooms on the main floor one in the master and one off the game room by the kitchen. There is a bathtub in the other bathroom on the main floor with awesome views of the valley. The accommodations worked for our group .

Lovely Views from Spacious Home

  • 5 of 5
Our family of 7 adults & 4 kids stayed 4 nights at this comfortable home in a quiet neighborhood minutes from the village of Carmel Valley. While the house was represented accurately on VRBO, it actually exceeded our expectations. Cindy, the owner, provided a kitchen well-stocked with all the basics for preparing a meal, & the baths were well-equipped w/ soaps, shampoos, & lotions. We found cards, other games, and toys for the kids. The patio, where we spent a lot of time, had a gas heater for cool nights, a state-of-the-art grill, and plenty of comfortable chairs. The house was furnished & decorated as if it were her own home. Windows across the back of the house looked out across the valley to the hills beyond. What a pleasure to sit @ the big dining table and enjoy that scene! She gave us info about the nearby regional park and about restaurants in town. We tried Café Rustica, Corkscrew, & Kathy's Kitchen, all very good. It's about 20-25 min. over to Carmel by car (more in weekend traffic), but who needs all that hustle & bustle when laid-back Carmel Valley Village is so close @ hand? We grabbed a couple of delicious grapefruit from the tree outside the kitchen window to complement our breakfasts! Thanks, Cindy, for your hospitality. I hope we can visit next summer.

Property is three minutes to Carmel Valley Village. Twenty to thirty minutes to Carmel, Monterey, Pebble Beach. We are a great base for just about any activity. Especially Holman Ranch weddings! One can see the road going up to Holman from our house. We are near Laguna Seca, Quail Lodge, Bernardus, Holman Ranch, Stonepine. Venture a little further and visit Big Sur and Santa Cruz. The Valley has numerous activities all year around. Hidden Valley Music Seminars has great entertainment, as well as Sunset Center in Carmel-by-the-Sea. Touring Carmel Valley Village's wine tasting rooms is a must as well as visiting the many wonderful restaurants, galleries, and specialty shops. Great hiking, horseback riding and, did I mention the wine tasting? I can also offer some Aquarium passes. The property is ideal for those attending weddings at any Carmel or Carmel Valley location. The Holly Farm, Holman Ranch, Carmel Valley Ranch, Bernardus, etc. are all within 10 -15 minutes. I have sister properties where one can put up the rest of the wedding party. While the property is spacious, it is also nicely divided so that smaller groups of people can enjoy the living areas, without needing all of the bedrooms. If you are a hiker, Garland Park is a must and if you are a wine drinker, the 15+ wine tasting rooms are a must! I also am happy to have just a couple or two!

Notes:
This lovingly maintained, 3,300 s.f. home has beautiful views of Carmel Valley. There is plenty of room for family and friends to mingle together in the cozy kitchen area, or enjoy formal dining in the dining room. The master bedroom is 400 s.f. with Valley Views. The house is set up so that a couple or just a few couples can enjoy the house. The patio is great for barbecuing, with patio furniture and a patio heater for those sometimes cool winter nights. With three flat screens and a downstairs retreat, there is a niche for everyone. The main level of the home has four of the bedrooms, living area, kitchen, and bathrooms, so it is perfect for smaller groups as well as those families who are here for weddings. People like having the sitting area in/near the kitchen because almost everyone seems to gather there. We have recently put in a poker/game table next to the kitchen and guests are enjoying sipping a drink, playing cards, while someone is in the kitchen!
