We have always loved log homes and built our first log home in 1992 in Colorado. When we found this log home in 1996, we loved it so much we moved in permanently in 1998, to raise our children in this wonderful setting, and remained until 2010. Not wanting to sell our log home, we decided on VRBO because we had heard of so many wonderful experiences with VRBO property rentals from friends and family. Our prayer is that many familys can enjoy the relaxing and refreshing experience our log home offers.
Bryan or Kathy Coffey purchased this estate in 1996
Our family has been in the Hill Country area since 1952. In 1995, we were driving in Oak Ridge Estates and stopped to watch someone feeding a herd of deer, right out of her hand! We learned from her that the home next door to her was for sale! We bought 102 Pecan Creek Drive in January 1996. We came to our new log home on the weekends from our home in The Woodllands, TX, for two years, until we moved to our log home in June of 1998. Our now grown, three older children grew up here, living on lake LBJ, enjoying all the fun and beauty. In 2010, we moved to Lake Marble Falls, and still enjoy visiting our log home on Lake LBJ when we are not renting it out.

This is truly a unique, one of a kind property, that will comfortably accommodate two to four families at a time, without anyone feeling crowded or lacking privacy. Whether you are planning a holiday vacation, family or friend reunion, wedding, anniversary, birthday, club get together, or church function, there is something special and memorable waiting for everyone here. We are within a mile of the world class Horseshoe Bay Resort, where you can enjoy all the amenities, without the hotel atmosphere and expense. 102 Pecan Creek Drive can be your home away from home in paradise.
Thank you so much for letting us rent out your home for the Memorial Weekend! What a memorable weekend it was for our family!!! We love the house and all the rooms, the neighborhood is wonderful esp with all of the friendly deer roaming in the back yard. The kids loved the back yard and play area! We build a giant slip and slid down the hill!!! The waterfront and boat dock are breathtaking at such a private location! The house came with everything and we never ran out of activities for fun! The adults espically enjoyed the private hot tub and patio area as well as the out door shower. All the girls ended up leaving will steller tans from many many hours of sun bathing on the top deck of the boat dock! We also enjoyed many wonderful meals prepared by the boys bbq style down by the lake at the boat dock! We truly enjoyed our stay and loved your home we would rate it a perfect 10 out of 10 and plan to come back for all of our Lake LBJ vacations! Looking forward to next year~~~The WILPITZ Family
My siblings and I have met every year at various lakes around Texas and this by far was the best trip ever. This property was excellent for accomodating a 102 year old grandma all the way down to a 6 month old nephew. Easy to get in and out with great scenery. Ability to dock boat, jet ski and fish from the back yard was great. The family has decided to make this our permanent spot due the property and constant lake level.
Thanks so much for sharing your home with our three families. The owners are very nice people! This house is a good setup for a large group. We had three families with 14 adult children. The area is very quiet and relaxing. We rented a pontoon boat for the weekend so it was nice having access to it right on the property. We brought our bikes and did some bike riding. The kitchen was well equipped. We all loved feeding the deer right from our hands! We met the neighbors, who said they often rent their place in conjunction with this one if you need two houses together.
We just returned from this lovely vacation home and had a wonderful time. We loved this peaceful place that is only 15 minutes from Marble Falls and about 60 miles from Austin. During the week the lake is awesome -- hardly any boats. We enjoyed feeding the deer and playing in the water. The waterway is narrow, but widens by the dock, so easy to maneuver in and out. Hosts don't bother you but are helpful if you need them. My only negative is, if you really plan to cook, bring your own cutlery knives and pans, as the non-stick pans have no t-fal in them, and the knives leave much to be desired. Beds are comfortable and the place is very large. Really enjoyed the house!
Fantastic water ski vacation and awesome rental property. The home was clean, lovely, well-stocked, and beautiful. The owners take great pride in thier rental home and the property was even better than we had imagined. The lake was perfect and the extra driveway space made parking our large boats and vehicles a breeze, and the great boat dock was perfect for securing our boats in the evening. We can highly, highly recommend this vacation home!!
I spent a 3-day weekend at the LBJ Log Home with my large family (total of 17 people including children). There was lots of room for everyone with plenty of great sleeping accommodations. The kitchen is beautiful and well-equipped with high-end appliances and enough room for everyone. Dining room had a large table and the adjoining kitchen had bar stools that offered additional seating. The yard was nice, especially the front, with many deer roaming the property. My grand kids loved feeding them and seeing how close they could get. The canal in the back was not bad and not too far from open water. We did some fishing off the dock and caught several catfish. The upper deck offered a beautiful view of the clear Texas sky at night where the stars seemed endless. There were lots of beds; however, most of the mattresses were a little hard, but we usually went to bed so late it didn't matter much. The bathrooms were adequate and the master bath was huge. The only downside to the bathrooms is 2 of the 3 are in rooms and if someone is sleeping with the door closed to those rooms there is only one hallway bath, but not a big deal. The owner is very nice and personally saw us into the property and was available to answer any questions we had. LBJ is a beautiful lake that has a constant level (unlike most lakes in Texas right now). Overall the stay at this property was great and we totally enjoyed our time.
We had 10 adults and 10 children staying for 3 nights. The house was extremely accomodating and the owners were as good as could be. They were very personable and went out of their way to make sure that we had everything that we needed. We also had three boats between the 5 families and we were able to tie-up to the dock without any trouble. The boat ramp was nearby which was really a plus. We will plan to stay here again next year.
