Wonderful relaxing place with lots of things for family to do!

  • 5 of 5
This place was wonderful. Beautiful view of the river and tons of items available in the cabin to make the stay enjoyable. Things like dishwasher soap, spices, oil, coffee filters, condiments, t.p., laundry soap, etc. all make it a much easier stay. We enjoyed using the fire pit next to the river almost every night. The kids bought inner tubes and went tubing down the river again and again. We went to nearby Fire's Creek, Hanging Dog, and Jackrabbit Parks to swim, tube, and fish. The master bedroom loft is mostly closed off so there is still plenty of privacy for whoever sleeps up there. Everything was clean and comfortable!

Great place for family!

  • 5 of 5
This was a wonderful place for our Thanksgiving family dinner and retreat! We brought lots of stuff with us like paper towels, hand towels, knives, etc. because every time we rent a home/cabin it's usually only stocked with the minimum necessities (if that) but this place was STOCKED! We had everything we needed. It made it so much more relaxing and enjoyable. It's been upgraded nicely and was very clean. Our dog enjoyed the fenced yard and porch. He had a blast swimming in the creek as well. The patio/fire pit area by the water was very enjoyable. It was all we needed and more! I definitely recommend this quiet, relaxing home!

Perfect house for demanding dog owners

  • 5 of 5
We booked the house with the expectation that we would bring our two dogs and meet my active Army sons during our stay. I contacted George and was immediately impressed by his caring for Soldiers and their family as well as understanding what it means to be a responsible dog owner and vacationing with the dogs. George took great care of us and upon arrival we were in awe of the condition of the residence and it's appointments. The river is right across the street and even thought my angling abilities would not let me harvest fish from it, our two water dogs lived in the river. Had we arrived in the summer I could see us enjoying the little "beach" and swimming and playing in the water. The house is located close to town with all manners of stores and restaurants (George made some great recommendations) as well as close to other attractions. The stay was perfect and the experience was perfect as well. I hope that we have made new friends with George and CW. If you select this or any of their properties you cannot go wrong.

Peace and Quiet -- Perfect!

  • 5 of 5
This is a lovely cabin--with all the modern conveniences--nestled in the woods. We had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary. There's no longer a view of the river due to new construction, but the water is just a few feet away and a great place to let your cares go. Fabulous places to eat very close by (we loved Murphy's Bar and Grill, The Daily Grind, and Chevelle's in Murphy and The Copper Door in Hayesville).

Paradise in the Mountains

  • 5 of 5
Such a beautiful place and great location! This place has so much charm and everything you need -- a great getaway place. The front porch has nice big rockers and overlooks the river -- very serene and peaceful -- you don't want to leave. Just a short walk to the river and you can kayak or float for some very relaxing times. It's far enough out to make you feel like you're in the middle of the mountains, but if you decide to go into town, only a few miles away and Murphy offers many nice restaurants and several flea markets. I highly recommend this great getaway cabin!
