Stunning 1000 sq ft loft steps away from the Eiffel tower and Champs de Mars.
In the heart of Paris prestigious 7th arrondissement, this unique apartment is ideally located in quaint Rue du Gros Caillou between rue Saint Dominique (famous shopping street) and rue de Grenelle, just a few blocks from Metro station Ecole Militaire.
It is near the best weekly food Markets in Paris in rue Cler, and a short walk to everything from lively cafes, museums, and typical and elegant food shops.
This spacious loft is conveniently located on the ground floor of a small building.
Rue du Gros Caillou is a one-way street with no car parking allowed. The 7th Arrondissement is one of the safest arrondissement in Paris, but the loft is still behind a secure digicode entry way.
The apartment is built on 3 levels. On the first level is a fully-equipped kitchen ready for gourmet meals. Nearby rue St Dominique and rue Cler have the best food stores and rue Cler hosts a weekly local green market. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator/freezer, a dishwasher, a coffeemaker, washer/dryer and an open wine cellar. We provide French white porcelain dishware, pots and pants for all your cooking needs. The dining table sits 6 people comfortably.
The living room boasts 20 ft high ceiling and is filled with light. The large windows are equipped with curtains for privacy and motorized rolling shutters for security. The apartment is furnished with a mix of contemporary and antique décor. It includes a brand new queen sofa (sleeps 2), a coffee table, plenty of closet space and a flat screen TV.
The bedroom and bathroom are on the upper level. The bedroom is perched on the open mezzanine and is furnished with a 160cm
mattress (queen size) bed with a bedside table and a dresser to store your clothes. In the adjacent hallway are built-in and mirror-clad closets where you can store your clothes and belongings. The marble bathroom is spacious and has a large bathtub where you will be happy to relax after long walks around the city of light!
I have lived in the US for the past 25 years but I still love my home town of Paris! Every year, I go back to the City of Light where I spend time in my own apartment which is now available to you.
Ann purchased this apartment in 1987
This property used to be an artisan shop of a famous locksmith which has been turned into a comfortable loft that my family enjoys staying in when in Paris.
Perfect location 5 min from the amazing Eiffel tower and in the heart of the 7th district. Walking distance from the best fromageries, boulangeries, flower shops, a dream comes true for the perfect vacation!
Great ground floor apartment in a great neighborhood. Spent a week here. It was fantastic. Neighborhood is filled with good restaurants, cafe's and food shopping. The apartment is clean, comfortable and spacious. The street is quiet with little traffic; fully equipped, we wanted for nothing.Would definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.
I will start out by saying that I have been to Paris too many times for me to remember how many - THIS WAS THE BEST!!! Fabulous location close to everything - except so quiet! You can walk to the Eiffel Tower in 5 minutes! I took my 19 yr old granddaughter, and she loved having her own private space - the loft bedroom - where she could retreat! It is so incredibly spacious that you can feel like you are at home! Plenty of room to spread out and wind down after a day of sightseeing. Everything there is absolute top quality - the sofa bed is fabulous - like sleeping on a plush bed! The linens are beautiful - there is sooooo much closet space. It is so easy to unpack and enjoy! If you are inclined to cook, the kitchen is fabulous and completely well stocked with everything you could need. The best part of all are the owners - one of them being in an apartment right next to you - and willing to help you with anything at anytime! They feel like they are your personal friends instead of landlords. In fact, they are such special people, that unless you are really nice and special yourself, I do not want you to go there!! But, if you do, you will have a wonderful experience! I would always choose to stay there in the future.
My wife and I arrived in Paris after a long train ride from Zermatt. After a short taxi from the train station, we were greeted heartily by the owner of this perfectly located apartment. We don't speak French, so navigating the language barrier was a little tricky, but our host was patient with us while we worked through it.
My wife and I stayed in hotels during the rest of our European trip, so we had become accustomed to smaller accommodations. We were stunned by the huge-ness of this apartment. It has high ceilings and two levels plus a sleeping loft. It was great to be able to stretch out. Everything in this apartment is stylish and well-maintainted, so I think anyone would be happy staying here.
One unique advantage of staying in this apartment is that you'll never get lost- even in the vastness of Paris. All you have to do is head to the Eiffel Tower and you're there! It's comforting knowing that even if you don't have a map or your iPhone runs out of juice, you can easily find your way home.
I highly recommend staying at here.
My husband and I just celebrated our 20th anniversary in Paris and stayed in this spacious loft on Rue du Gros Caillou. During previous visits in the City of Lights we stayed in much smaller spaces so we really appreciated the uniqueness and high ceiling of the loft.
We loved that we were walking distance from the Eiffel Tower through the Champs de Mars and immediately across the Seine onto the Place du Trocadero. The Apartment is also a hop away from several museums. We visited the Georges Braque exhibit at the Grand Palais (right across the Seine), shows at the musée Branly, we went to the Musée d'Orsay, Palays de Tokyo, etc. There are several buses closeby (92, 28, and 69) that take you to St Germain, le Marais, etc. The 92 makes it a straight shot to Montparnasse and the busy shopping fare of rue de Rennes and st Germain des Pres. We took advantage of the food merchants of rue Saint Dominique and rue de Grenelle and cooked our meals in the apartment which is well equipped. It was so nice to experience Paris as Parisians! Couple times we also ventured out: we had fantastic food at the Petit Troquet Rue Augereau, enjoyed the scene at the Fontaine de Mars, and had a nice meal à l'Ami Jean.
This was such a memorable trip and the perfect place for celebrating an anniversary. And our positive experience had a lot to do with this jewel of apartment, perfectly located on a quiet street.
