Book 8 – 12 months ahead for a guarantee of an Ocean View

Experience the wonders of beautiful Ka’anapali Beach while staying in a luxurious 5 Star resort built and managed by the Westin Starwood properties.

This 2 BR, 2BA unit consists of a:

• 1 BR, 1 BA with living room, dining room, large bathroom and full sized kitchen (plus)

• a studio lockout with a kitchenette, washer/dryer and full size bathroom

The studio and the 1BR may be used together for a 2 BR unit or used separately so that your stay is for a 2 week time period. (i.e.: If you rent the studio and then the 1 BR back to back you can stay for 2 weeks on Maui.)

The studio unit has a full size, luxurious king bed plus a queen size hide-a-bed and acomodates 4 people max. Baby cribs are available at no additional charge. If you want a baby crib, it needs to be identified ahead of time to ensure availability and included on the reservation.

THE PROPERTY

From the minute you enter the lobby, you will know that you are in a first class resort that includes a beautiful swimming pool with a water slide, a toddler’s pool, several jacuzzis, and gardens with direct access and views to the beach and the ocean. The units are luxurious with stylish furnishings, granite counters in the kitchen, Westin’s premier heavenly beds with fluffy down comforters, over sized bathrooms with whirlpool tubs and extra large showers and soft terry cloth robes hanging in the closet.

You can buy food at the on site store and barbeque your own dinner at the poolside grills with dining tables or you can enjoy the onsite restaurant or you can catch the free shuttle to dine at other hotels and restaurants along the stretch of Ka’anapali Beach.

When you walk from the pool area down the short path to the beach, you are directly in front of excellent snorkeling where you will see a variety of fish and a couple of resident turtles.

For the young children who like to build sand castles, the soft white sand affords hours of entertainment. There are also special pools for young children, including a pirate ship pool.

Cabana chairs can be rented for use on the beach for those who are looking for some protection from the sun. There is a game room and a fitness center. The day of your checkout, if you want to stay and enjoy the pool and beach, there are locker rooms with towels, shampoo, soap and hair dryers so that you can dress for your late day flight even though you have already checked out.

This entire resort is run by Westin and managed like a hotel. All the units at this resort are managed as part of a common pool of rooms. Unit assignments are made at check in. No one has the right to any specific unit. However, the closer to making a room a year ahead, the more likely the room assigned will have a more desirable view as assignments are made based on reservation date.

EXTRA AMENITIES:

Another free shuttle offers regular service into grocery stores, shopping malls and downtown Lahaina, a picturesque former whaling town. You don’t need a car to enjoy the Ka’anapali and Lahaina locales due to these free shuttles.

Take an airport shuttle from the airport to the Westin Villas or rent a car from Avis, National or Hertz and turn it in at their local West Maui drop off just minutes from the villas. They will provide shuttle service to the villas.

There is no charge for parking when renting through an owner vs renting from the resort directly.

Room rates do not include applicable Hawaii state taxes. The state of Hawai'i assesses a Transient Accommodations Tax and a Hawaii General Excise Tax that is payable at checkout.

It is BEST TO EMAIL us as we do travel, and if we are out of the country, we do not carry the cell phone but we always carry a notebook computer.

About The Owner

We come to Maui every year for 6 weeks now that both of us are retired. We bought at the Westin Villas in 2002 when only the foundation for the first wing was in place. We are partial owners in another condo on Ka’anapali and bought at the Villas so that when our children and their families wanted to come over, we could accommodate them. When no one is able to come, we rent it out. We live in Palo Alto, CA.
