One of three one-bedroom apartments in classic New England home on a quiet side street, 1 short block from the center of town. Completely renovated in 2006-7. Entry level is on the second floor of the building and includes large fully equiped kitchen open to large dining area and half bath with washer dryer. Top floor includes large living room with Queen hide-a-bed. large bedroom with Queen sized bed, Full tiled bathroom with Kohler fixtures. Furnishings include some local antiques. Kitchen is equipped with full-sized stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, dishes and flatware brought from Portugal. Includes wireless internet, satellite television and local telephone service.
About Susan Bryant

I have purchased, renovated and rented real estate since the mid 1970's, first in Oklahoma, then in Connecticut and since returning to Maine in 2004. I spend a majority of my time practicing law with an office in Camden and the rest of my time I buy, renovate and rent real estate. My goal is to have rental property I would love to live in myself. I handle all of the design, decorating and upkeep personally and enjoy getting to know tenants from all over the U.S., Canada and overseas.

Why Susan Bryant chose Camden

I bought this property from one of my father's cousins. I loved the structure of the house and th location and wanted to renovate it from the first time I saw it. We gutted all three apartments and restructured all of them, while adding high end appliances, wood and glass cabinets made by a local cabinetmaker and furnished with china from Portugal, furniture from local stores and some local antiques..

What makes this apartment unique

The building is in town, but on a quiet side street. There is off street parking and laundry facilities on site (without charge). The building is within walking distance of everything in town. Each unit is well-airconditioned in the summer and warm and cozy in the winter - each with their own thermostat for complete control by the tenant. We provide amenities such as laundry detergent, shampoo, soaps, lotion. Kitchens are well-equipped with lovely china and glassware, plenty of cooking and baking utensils. We have added a patio and a privacy fence for 2013.

A very roomy 1-bedroom apartment on two levels. Clean and updated. There's a sofa bed in the living room for an extra person or two. We had a great stay here - the location was ideal. I was traveling with my husband and 87 year old father so we wanted to be close to downtown Camden. We had enough room for everyone and it was great to have 1 1/2 baths.
Fortunately my father can still do stairs. You must climb up a flight of stairs to the second floor. Then to go to the full bath, living room and bedroom, climb up another flight of stairs.
We were there in October, so I'm not sure how hot it would get up there in the summer.
We had a wonderful stay, a friendly and helpful host, and I would stay there again.
The only things I found it lacked: a full-length mirror, an additional mid-weight blanket (there were lightweight blankets on the beds and down comforters in the closet), a better mattress on the sofa bed - something without hard springs!), have some paper and pens available, and a bigger dresser with drawers in the bedroom would have been helpful!

Great location, great apartment

What a great find...I was traveling in the area with my boyfriend and his parents and we decided to opt for this apartment over the B&Bs and inns in Camden. This apartment was perfect - it has a great amount of space (two floors, full bath and half bath) and was modern, bright, and very comfortable. The location cannot be beat. Downtown Camden is literally a three minute walk from the front steps. There is a drug store, coffee shop and yummy asian restaurant right across the street (what more could you need?). The owner Susan was very nice and easy to communicate with...she made us feel at home. I would definitely recommend this apartment to anyone coming to the area!
