I recently sold my company and retired at 52. I summer here in Highlands, just one block form this fine property, and winter in Jupiter FL. Come visit, and bring your puppy to play with Kipper.

Kathleen Hillman purchased this house in 2002

I have been coming to Highlands since I was a teenager, and there in no finer place for a holiday.

Enjoy the summer theater, chamber music festivals, wine festivals. Great fly fishing (and regular fishing if you must : ( both behind the house and in town.

GREAT LOCATION

  • 4 of 5
We really enjoyed the house and the location. We were able to shop in town, skip back to the rental and grab our swim suits as the weather cleared and head to our favorite swimming spots. We also enjoyed being so close to the many dining options, grocery store and the Highlands Playhouse. It was a great stay.

PERFECT SPOT!

  • 5 of 5
We stayed in this home over Memorial Day and loved it. The home is lovely, and the setting is perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and hearing Mill Creek. The lower deck next to the creek enjoys a lovely view. We walked to town and to the Bascom and Rec Center in the Highland Greenway. I would definitely stay here again.

WONDERFUL VACATION HOME!

  • 5 of 5
This is a lovely vacation home! My mother-in-law joined us and she had a beautiful master suite upstairs while my husband and I stayed downstairs in a cozy king bedroom. This worked great for us since we had our little dogs and the downstairs has a sliding glass door opening to a nice fenced yard. We appreciate the owner letting us bring our baby dogs. The home is very clean so even travelers without dogs will be happy and comfortable staying here. We were able to walk to town each day. The owner is very pleasant to deal with and quick to answer any questions. We look forward to visiting the Highlands in the future and would love to rent this home again.

LOVELY HOME - AMAZING PROPERTY - GREAT TRAILS TO TOWN

  • 5 of 5
The house is very nice, the decks and patios are fantastic, and the location can't be beat. An easy trail 2 houses down takes you to town (10 minute walk), or takes you to many other trails, including to the lovely Highlands Greenway with a stream that you can wade in, and to the community center with a pool, playground, etc. Even though the house is close to town, the property is heavily wooded and very private. It's lovely. Cell reception (AT&T) at the house is good, which we've found over the years to be spotty in Highlands. The view from this home, and the stream on the property makes for a magical, relaxing getaway.

SECLUDED BUT WALK TO TOWN

  • 5 of 5
This house is indeed within walking distance to town. A bit of an uphill walk but it's Highlands after all and you can be on Main St enjoying the shopping and restaurants. Ample space for several couples and a well equipped kitchen provide an opportunity to buy goodies from Rosewood grocery and other purveyors. A babbling creek is at back of property and a deck with a grill are in plain sight. In fact this house has many outdoor dining options and a very fine gas grill. We were summer visitors but we still laid a log on the outdoor fire pit.
