Located in an exclusive area inside Tulemar, Villa Cielito is a luxurious, 2 story, 2 bedroom retreat nestled into the jungle hillside. It offers panoramic views of the ocean and lush jungle.

The villa is luxuriously furnished and has high end appliances throughout. As you enter through the huge teak door you pass into the over-sized living and kitchen area. Why Cindy Houck chose Manuel Antonio

The name 'Villa Cielito' means 'a little piece of heaven'. It is a breathtaking beautiful villa with ocean views from every room of the house.

What makes this villa unique

Villa Cielito is located inside of Tulemar Resort, a 33- acre gated community surrounded by Costa Rican rainforest and views of the Pacific Ocean. The attentive staff is on-hand to be at help at all times. Chris, your personal concierge, will do all he can before & during your stay to help you have the best vacation in Costa Rica possible.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We stayed in April at Tulemar with another couple and we had the privacy needed. The villas were beautiful and the staff went above and beyond. It may be a bit of steep terrain but Luis, our driver was there whenever we needed him and he was the best. He really help make the vacation, his humor and knowledge of the local scene was exceptional. The private beach was beautiful and our bartender, Juan, was great. We felt so well taken care of with Brian as our concierge, anything we needed was handled immediately. He was very helpful finding the right excursions for our group.

The pools were all very private and the best morning was watching the troop of monkeys above the pool crossing the trees. The tour of Manuel Antonio was informative and the beach inside the park should not be missed. I am not usually a fan of guided tours but it is a must in the park, you would miss so much if you were to wander on your own.

We opted to have a chef (Marlon?) at our villa and it was well worth it. The food was wonderful and it was enjoyable on our own balcony. There are so many restaurant close by and and there is a grocery store if you want to cook yourself.

We have stayed in many places in many countries and I can honestly say Tulemar is one of our favorites and we hope to make it back soon.

Great Family Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My family of seven stayed in a fantastic villa called Villa Cielito in Tulemar last October. The property is beautiful with amazing ocean views. A sloth lived in a tree by our villa and we could see it every day. Monkeys were all around our villa and gave us lots of entertainment. When we would walk to the beach we could also see monkeys and sloths and iguanas . If we couldn't find an animal, the staff would always help us to locate one animal for us to view. The different types of birds were beautiful and nice to listen to their chirping. Ashley our concierge went out of her way to help our family plan our excursions. My wife and I went deep sea fishing and caught a lot of fish. I wanted to bring it back home to Arizona and Ashley researched the rules about bringing fish on the plane. She also had helped us with getting an ice chest and ice blocks to get the fish home. She was very helpful with planning everything for us to do during our stay. Our kids were quite happy to just stay in Tulemar and hop around to the different pools and beach. However, they did enjoyed the zip lining and Horse back riding too. Dave was also very helpful with places to eat and see. We will definitely go back to Tulemar. You never have to leave the property if you do not want to. Everything is right there and it is paradise! Thank you Cindy for suggesting Villa Cielito.

Everything in one Vacation. Adventure, Excitement

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I did a joint vacation with my adult son, daughter in law and their two sons ages 4 and 6. It was an amazing experience. We rented a two bedroom villa called Villa Cielito. It had amazing views of the ocean and Jungle. We did everything from a glorious day fishing where we brought our fish back to the restaurant and they prepared it for our dinner to a hike where we were surrounded by monkeys. We relaxed on the beach....repelled down waterfalls...and zip lined over 100 foot ravines. Thanks to Ashley for arranging all of our excursions. She is the perfect hostess. She checked in on us just about every day to make sure all was good and to see if we needed anything from trips to the market to dinner reservations. She sent over a plate of brownies and brought us a bottle of champagne to toast the New Year. If you are lucky enough to go to Tulemar, hopefully you will be lucky enough to have Ashley as your concierge!

The restaurant is good but the view is spectacular. As most resort restaurants it is a little pricey but convenient . There is a bar and grill at the beach which made it very convenient.

The villa was very comfortable and beautiful too.

The wi-fi worked great! Never had a problem which I have found to be rare when traveling.

We had the air conditioner on all day but at night we turned it off, opened up the screened windows and turned on the fans. It was perfect. No problem with bugs but we did have a few lizards visit us....as a matter of fact one slipped into a shoe and got a free trip to California. He is now at the Natural History Museum in LA. Thank you Cindy for suggesting Villa Cielito.

All in all it was a wonderful vacation!

Absolute Paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week at Villa Cielito in Tulemar. From the moment I made contact with Cindy, I was very happy. Chris was our host/concierge for the week and made all the arrangements for our excursions, transportation to/from the airport, recommendations for dining, and even took me to the grocery store so I could buy some basic staples for our kitchen.

The casa was beautifully appointed, well maintained, and very large for the four of us. Housekeeping services were wonderful and very accommodating. The view was magnificent and will be in our memories forever. My husband spent hours out on the porch just relaxing and enjoying the rainforest and ocean view. The monkeys, sloths, birds, and reptiles were interesting. We learned a lot about the wildlife, but I wish we had heard more about the unique plants in the area.

There are several restaurants within the area and can be easily reached on foot. The shuttle on the property was convenient and took us to the beach (gorgeous!) and to the front gate so we could walk to the local restaurants and stores. The local food is good, but don't expect it to be very cheap

We planned a nice mixture of relaxation and adventure: Canopy Safari Zip lining, Safari Buggy Waterfall Tour, rainforest tour, afternoon boat tour/snorkeling, personal chef-made dinner, in-room massages, etc. It was a perfect week and I would go back to beautiful Costa Rica and Tulemar in a heart beat.

Unbelievable and Amazing Experience!

  • 5 of 5

I visited Villa Cielito with my family in September and it was truly and amazing experience, we can not wait to go back! Absolutely no details were spared. We even had fresh flower arrangements and fruit. Chris our convierge was wonderful and could not have been more accommodating. The views were breathtaking. The property is so beautiful and abundant with wildlife. The indoor-outdoor shower is such a fun unique experience. The entire staff was friendly. Tulemar is truly a little slice of heaven. We visited during the rainy season and still managed to enjoy wonderful weather each day. There was usually rain for 30 minutes or so around 4 pm. The sunsets were more beautiful every night. You really do not need to venture outside of Tulemar. It has everything right there that you could want or need. We will definitely be back!

Villa Paradise

  • 5 of 5

So I just went back to Costa Rica the last week in Oct through the first week of Nov with 5 other friends. We had another awesome experience. The first day we got there we had a Sloth right outside the balcony sitting on the very top of the tree just staring into the sunset. There were many monkeys hanging around too. This would be my 2nd time staying in Tulemar. This time we stayed in Villa Cielito. It offers amazing views of the ocean and is decorated to the nines. Although, you could not go wrong with any property in Tulemar.

Tulemar is a gated community with 24 hr security, the BEST hosts and housekeepers anyone could ask for while on vacation. How many places do you know of that welcome you at the door in person, offer you just about anything you need, plan all your excursions and more. They will even do your laundry. You can literally show up with no itinerary and with the help of their concierge and staff you can have your week planned out within no time. Of course I can't forget to mention the Tulemar beach available for those staying in Tulemar. It is a small quiet beach which includes a beach bar, AWESOME food, kayaks, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, towels, restrooms and just an all around amazing atmosphere. They have walking trails to explore too. We saw lots of monkeys when we were on the trails and even saw a Howler monkey

Right outside the Tulemar community is lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shop, grocery store and shops within walking distance or a short trip via taxi. My experience with the locals is that they are friendly and love to have you visit their country. It was nice to get to know the people who run the stores and shops. This place is truly paradise and we will be back again. It is a must stay!

Exceeded Expecations

  • 5 of 5

Family of six stayed at Villa Cielito, a two level villa with two bedrooms on the lower level. Each BR had two twin beds and a half bath. There was also a day bed at the top of the stairs to the upper level. Upper level included the kitchen, living room, a half bath, and the expansive deck. Lower level BRs and bath are identical mirror images of each other. Bedrooms are somewhat small but the baths are killer, mostly due to the huge shower area. Overall the villa had a high end feel to it with multiple lighting options on dimmers, swanky fixtures, and brand new big screen TVs. Kitchen was well equipped with small electrics and Samsung appliances. There was even a separate ice maker under the counter next to the dishwasher, so ice was never in short supply. The best part was the awesome vista views to the north, east, and northwest. Sitting on the huge deck (complete with jacuzzi) contemplating the view made us feel very privileged indeed. We saw tree iguanas, monkeys, toucans, and lots of other birds from the deck.

The beach is down the hill, quite a ways. Management provides free shuttle vans on a few minutes' notice so it's really not a big deal. Once you're down there the beach is great. It is enclosed in a cove so it has a private feeling to it, and it is only available to guests. The sand is very fine, almost like silt.

The concierge system worked great for us. Chris M. was our concierge and we found him to be universally knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. He arranged taxis, recommended a restaurant, and arranged our zipline tour flawlessly. Local knowledge really helps make a stay in a foreign country less stressful, and Chris' help was very valuable.

We absolutely loved Costa Rica. It was our first trip there, but I am very sure we will be back.
