Gorgeous, waterfront vacation rental with spectacular views of Gowlland Harbour and shared private dock. Perfect for nature lovers, outdoor enthusiasts, boaters or anyone who just wants to kick back and relax by the water!

The 'Arbutus Lodge' features 4 bedrooms -- each with its own private ensuite bathroom -- including a larger top-floor room with its own small balcony with a view of the water.

A fully-equipped kitchen, large oak dining table, and cozy living room with a wood-burning stone fireplace and water and harbour views make this rental a luxurious treat! A full laundry room and entry mud room make this a practical rental, too.

A large outdoor deck with patio furniture and gas BBQ is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the spectacular views!

Also included, is a shared private dock with moorage for watercraft up to 24 feet and a professional putting green.

About Manager

Our family has been vacationing on Quadra Island for over 50 years! It's just a peaceful, beautiful, natural west coast location that can't be beat.

Manager purchased this lodge in 2003
Why Manager chose Quadra Island

We fell in love with the location and privacy of this acreage waterfront property with it's own small cove. We think it's magical and everyone who visits agrees!

What makes this lodge unique

A number of years ago we had a horticulturist create walking paths on the property so we could enjoy walking among the huge ferns and trees. (Note: some of the paths to the water are quite steep.)

Professional putting green located on the property. Shared private dock includes moorage for watercraft up to 24 feet. Excellent swimming and beachcombing only 10 minutes away at the popular Rebecca Spit Marine Provincial Park. Pottery lovers will love the island potters and studios! Lots of great restaurants only a few minutes drive, including the Lovin Oven (great pizza and baked goods), Cafe Aroma for yummy lattes and Niko's Sushi Bar & Grill for fresh sushi (make sure to take home some of their homemade dipping sauce!).

Family Reunions & Larger Groups: We also have a second lodge available on the property that accommodates the same number of people -- perfect if you're planning a family reunion or larger group retreat. It has the same amenities as the Arbutus Lodge but has not been updated and has a partial water view. We can also host private corporate retreats in our Main Lodge. The location and beauty of this place is exceptional. The fishing boat charter we hired was fantastic! If you’re looking for GREAT fishing and beautiful scenery, you won’t find a better resort than this. I can’t wait to plan our next trip back!

Offers the best of everything!

It's easy to get to and once you're there, you may never want to leave! Everything about it was absolutely fantastic for an outdoor adventure without having to rough it. Beautiful accommodations. It was my first trip to Canada for salmon fishing and it definitely won't be my last! Our next trip to Canada will be back to the Gowlland Harbor Resort.

Our experience at Gowlland Harbour Resort was wonderful from start to finish. The beauty of the location is simply unparalleled and the water adventure activities were loads of fun. The accommodations and property were fantastic, the cook prepared yummy meals and the staff went the extra mile to make our stay an unforgettable one. Gowlland Harbour Resort is a world class destination.

We had a fabulous time at the Arbutus Lodge at Gowlland Harbour. The oceanfront setting was amazing and the lodge had everything you could ask for. We had two families stay in the lodge together for a weekend getaway and it was the perfect spot to accomodate all of us. The grounds were wonderfully kept and it was a great place to explore. Great spot to relax. We would definitely come here again! Thank you!
