“Nido de Gansos, Tulemar...BEST ever!”
My family just returned from a week stay in the fabulous house in Tulemar. I selected Tulemar based on the great TripAdvisor reviews, and it completely lived up to the great reviews, and then some!!!! In addition to the incredible house (more on this later), wonderful beach and amenities in Tulemar, and amazing location in Manuel Antonio, the SERVICE was amazing. Diego (our house manager/concierge) and his lovely, caring team made sure every detail was taken care of.
The communication from when we first reserved the house to our stay was great. We were provided with a list of various activities, grocery fulfillment, transportation options to/from San Jose, and I simply selected that which I was most interested. I received prompt replies and the trip planning was a breeze. Once on the property, Diego and his staff checked in a few times a day, helping us with rides to activities, confirming activities, making reservations, etc. Always with the most delightful attitude and smiles.
The house, Nido de Gansos, is really spectacular. The views from the top floor and pool are even better than the photos. The kitchen was great, and we cooked a few dinners and most breakfasts there. The three bedrooms are all great, as are the bathrooms. The air conditioning was key in the bedrooms, as it was 95 degrees the week we were there.
My kids really loved the beach at Tulemar, and we checked out kayaks and boogie boards several days, and enjoyed the great service from David setting up chairs/umbrellas and getting drinks from the Tiki Bar. They also LOVED seeing all the monkeys and wildlife.
We had many adventures: zip lining with Canopy Safari (my 75 year old mother-in-law even participated); white water rafting on the Saverge River (perfect...adventurous but not too crazy, and the Rafiki Lodge operators were so funny and great); ATV tour through palm grove with Fourtrax (the best part was the stop in Rainmaker Forest); surfing lessons for my 9 year old; photography lessons with my 12 year old (my fav activitiy...Sarah was amazing!); a tour of Manuel Antonio (hot...interesting, but we had seen much of the wildlife by the time we enjoyed this tour). Fav restaurant location for the scenery: El Avion (the boys liked the old C-123 plane)..good food. Fav restaurant for food and service: Agua Azul (amazing! get there at 5pm for good table).
Can't wait to return to Tulemar and Diego's crew. We miss everything already! Many thanks!!!
