A Great Choice in Homer

I could not have been happier with my choice of a place to stay in Homer. The owner is warm, welcoming and helpful beyond what anyone would expect. The property is spacious with beautifully kept gardens and a fabulous view of Kachemak Bay and glacier. It is difficult not to spend all one's time looking through the picture window as the light constantly changes on the glacier - which you can also see from the kitchen, dining and living areas, one bedroom and the bathroom! The sun pours into the bedroom in the morning which is something I like a lot. The apartment is much larger than the photos indicate, is impeccably clean and well appointed. And it is very quiet. I liked the rural location, too; while it is out of town it is easy to get to town, the spit and Kachemak Bay road. There are so many wonderful excursions, walks, hikes, boat trips and fishing to do each day in Homer that I'm really glad I stayed for the week and had very long days to enjoy that unique community.
