Winter sports:
On perfectly arranged ski slopes, the winter sports are even more enjoyable. You can start your tour right in front of the cottage. Everybody can find the suitable winter pass: beginners and professionals, alike. The snowmaking machines guarantee the basic layer, while “Frau Holle” takes care of the rest. There are 3 ski lifts for 500 m. For beginners and children there are 2 baby lifts and a skiing and snowboarding school. Besides, you will find high cross- country skiing tracks, toboggan runs, as well as ski tours. The 3 hotels/inns offer you evenings with an old atmosphere. The skiing pass Kärnten/ Osttirol is valid on the Emberger Alm as well.
Active vacation in the summer and winter:
There are 200 km of hiking trails in a mostly untouched Alpine paradise, over wide, rolling, mild Alpine meadows up to the impressive mountainous tops. You can start your tour right in front of the cottage. You can recreate in the mountains. This is the perfect vacation for allergic people. Our high Alpine climate offers the perfect conditions for that. The small quantity of pollen in the air, the lack of mites in the dust, and the reduced frequency of mold spores are also factors that enable allergic people to enjoy our place. A 2 week, or even better a 3 week vacation will have a considerable positive effect on the people with allergies, which will prevail even long after the vacation is done.
The Emberger Alm:
The Emberger Alm is one of the best regions for hang gliding and paragliding in the whole Europe. The wonderful temperature and the convenient location invite hundreds of flying enthusiasts every year. The location of Emberger Alm is ideal because the air is very transparent here, thanks to the 1800 m height. Since 1990, Astronomic research has started on the Emberger Alp, and since 1996, the International Telescope Meeting (ITT) has been taking place here.
Ski:
You can reach the ski slope directly from the house. Within 2 minutes you get to on your skiers to the ski lift. We suggest you the family skiing in the sun, for a reduced price. There are natural slopes for all levels of proficiency, at an altitude between 1650 and 2150 m. We offer you Alpine skiing for all proficiencies (blue, red and black slopes), the International Skiing School (OSSI) with intensive children tutoring, cross -country skiing in the afternoon, on a 3 km long run, ours, toboggan runs, curling, etc. Since 2000/01, our snowmaking machine guarantees optimal skiing conditions on the slopes.
