About sherri mansell

Larry and Sherri live in south Florida with 4 children ages 12 to 25. Their parents live in NC and Georgia,and the family travels to western caroloinas as much as possible. They love the outdoor hiking, boating and many other activities.

Why sherri mansell chose Black Mountain

We wanted to be close to Asheville, a city with an airport, university and culture events, and also close to both parents in Geogia and NC. We love the quaint town of Black Mtn with great restaurants.

What makes this cabin unique

Biggest benefit is being only 10 minutes to town for food/gas/etc...and 20 minutes to the city of Asheville, BUT having a peaceful property with beautiful views and feeling like we are away from it all!!!

FANTASTIC PLACE!

What a fantastic place! It was actually better than the photos showed! The cabin was awesome, very roomy! Very clean and well kept! Comfortable seating and all the amenities one would need! We enjoyed days in the 70's and nights in the 50's and no humidity! Hiking the grounds was fun, as well as our kids getting in a morning run! We toured the artist's studios in Asheville one day, toured the Biltmore Estate another day, and hiked Chimney Mountain another! Great area! Awesome outdoor restaurants in both Asheville and Black Mountain! We would highly recommend this cabin to others! The owner was quick to respond to any questions we had and gave us great information about the area! This place was a number 10 on a scale of 1 to 10!

Great Vacation

We arrived shortly after 4:00 pm which was the check in time. The house was still being cleaned but Bunny, the cleaning lady, welcomed us and allowed us into the house so we could stretch our legs, put away our groceries etc. The home is beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice We did have to replace a couple light bulbs but we found some and it was no big deal. It is way up the mountain and the dirt road was a little scary. On the day we had an ice storm, we stayed in. We loved the wine cellar and had drinks there the 1st night. The kids loved having the basement as "their" space. The hot tub had been turned down so we could not use until the 2nd evening. We ate dinner there every night and everything we needed to put a meal on was available. The beds were great. ( I threw my back out on the 2nd day and spent much of the rest of the time in bed!) We will defintely return to eiher this home or one of the others that Sherri owns.

We do provide 'starter' supplies with soaps, detergents, paper towels and even extra 'light bulbs'. We have a property manager that is available to respond to any requests. An Unforgettable Getaway

The cabin was amazing, exactly as advertised... comfortable, homey surroundings, extremely clean and well-stocked with almost everything you need. Tucked away from people and traffic with chirping birds, quiet mornings, and wonderful views. Black Mountain is a great location, close to Asheville, hiking trails, and amenities just down the mountain. You won't regret a minute of your stay. We enjoyed a terrific hot tub, made dinners in the evening and sat around the gas fireplace sharing stories. This place is one that we plan to return to next Spring!

Amazingly Beautiful and Relaxing home!

Seven of us went to the cabin for a relaxing weekend. We got that and so much more. The home is beautiful and the views are amazing. Even though it was cold we went on some great runs and relaxed in the hot tub with amazing views! The downstairs tv/game room gave us plenty of room to watch tv, play games, and play the wii. the beds were comfortable, the house very clean, the kitchen was cozy and roomy for all to cook and fellowship together. The grocery store and restaurants were very not far away. Which was great for the first and only run, we made sure to stock up the first day so we could enjoy every minute at the cabin! We had a very blessed weekend and I would highly recommend anybody who is looking for an amazing retreat to visit this home.
