This place had mold in the bathroom -(shower curtain, floors...) dirt, grime, refrigerator not working for 24 hrs (lost food), had to scrub table on deck, just plain 'ole disgusting. Also, too small a beach with too many boats (all you could smell is fuel from the boats). Furthermore, a good faith effort was made to let them know we could not check in on the original day (urgent care visit), so we asked to be prorated and they claimed 'it could've been rented that night' - which was very dishonorable as we only booked the place the day before.... Other places on Deer Cove much nicer, much cheaper. I would've left with my cash in hand had I visibly checked out the place before handing over the money.
Owner's Response: Dear future interested parties - this woman complained about everything - including Ossipee Lake itself where many people enjoy their vacations each summer. This house is clean and the refrigerator works. Often times folks come back each summer and make a reservation a year in advance. She also rented it a month ahead of time and viewed the photos on line as all of you will. She also signed a lease prior to her visit which explains the refund policy very clearly. I don't think that there is a lake in NH that has no boats and we provide 200 feet of private beach which clearly should have been enough for 3 people. I am sorry she was so angry at everything.
