Situated above the Mendocino Headlands, the home has striking blue/white water views of the California coast . Full length deck affords opportunity to sit outside and enjoy the views. Sometimes the local covey of quail will come to pay a visit. Inside the home is warm and welcoming. The village of Mendocino is an easy picturesque walk where coastal trails and beach access are readily available. From December thru March you can watch the whales in their annual migration to and from Mexico.

We purchased this half acre property in 1987 and built our home in 1990. We love hte California coast and it's everchanging climate. Our daughter often states this is her favorite place on earth! Both of us also enjoy gardening, so we have tried to enhance the property with plantings of heathers, lavenders, rhododendrons, and dwarf conifirs.
After visiting the Mendocino area several times, we fell in love with it and decided this would be a great place for a vacation home. Because we use it ourselves frequently, it is very well maintained and equipped. It is our pleasure to share it with others. It was recently refurbished inside and out and now has a new fresh look.
Many outdoor activities are locally available, such as kayaking, fishing, golf, tennis, hiking, biking. It's a great play area. Mendocino is noted for it's local artists, so there are quite a few galleries to explore. There are 1st Friday and 2nd Saturday artwalks with wine tastings. There is a beautiful botanical garden just a few miles north of town. It has both incredible formal gardens and a wonderful walking trail through groves of wonderful rhododendrons, azaleas, and fuschias. In the summer the dahlia garden is a 'MUST' see!
Historical, picturesque village, now artist colony with many art galleries and studio open houses. Excellent restuarants within 5 mile radius. Lots of opportunites for outdoor activities both passive and active.
