Come and vacation on beautiful Lieutenant Island and experience what Cape Cod is meant to be. As you cross the wooden bridge to the Island, you'll immediately feel release from all the stresses of daily life. Now your routines will be guided only by whim and the ebb and flow of the bay-side tides.

Our home has a lovely view of the bay from the master bedroom, living room, and long deck. The bay-side beach is a minute's walk down the hill and accessible only to Island residents.

The National Seashore is within a 10 minute drive of the Island. Wellfleet's town center has a thriving artist community with several of the best art galleries in New England. It also hosts many restaurants and a live theatre group who perform throughout the summer. The tip of the Cape, Provincetown, is about a 30 minute drive. Provincetown has great shops, boutiques, restaurants, beaches, and art galleries and is where you can catch a boat for a whale watch or go over to Boston for the day on the ferry. Biking, hiking, and fishing are also all easily accessible.

Our home is perfect for two families or extended families sharing a vacation. The home has two separate buildings (separated by five foot wide walkway). One building has the living room, kitchen, dining room upstairs and two bedrooms and a den downstairs. The second building has a huge master bedroom upstairs and another bedroom downstairs.

Escape to Lieutenant Island, relax, and rejuvenate.

Fantastic, remote, idylic getaway for a west coaster like me who loves sand, shore, the outdoors. THe beach (bayside or oceanside) is a step away, biking trails galore plus easy access to Province Town for shopping and people watching.

This place is well situated to all. Also, very comfortable. THe owers are very low key so everything about renting from start to finish is easy. ANd, it is so great to bbq on the deck with a view to the water!
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children

This is the third year we have rented this house. Lieutenant Island is one of our all time favorite places to vacation. It has all the charm of Cape Cod but none of the crowds - Very peaceful and very relaxing. The house is perfect for our needs (two families with two kids a piece). It is well stocked and comfortable. The living room has ample room for all 8 of us to sit around and relax. The best place, though, is the deck. It's absolutely beautiful to sit out, sip wine, and enjoy the sunsets.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway
