Lovely 1-Bedroom 4th Floor Apartment with Large Balcony + Table Mt Views

This lovely apartment has been newly transformed to take full advantage of the prime location and views towards Table Mountain from the 4th floor.

This private apartment in The Rockwell is lovely and sunny in winter, yet cool and eternally liveable in the summer. With a Balinese daybed and a coffee table outside, this apartment is all about making the most of Cape Town and the outdoors.

The air-conditioned interior in shades of black, white and green is cool and crisp and beautifully complements the Rockwell’s 1900s New York inspired architecture. The clean design makes full use of the interior space and flows easily on to the balcony area.

There is a full kitchen and a washer and dryer to provide all the conveniences of home. The apartment also has an espresso machine and an iPod/iPhone/iPad/Samsung phone/tablet dual docking station.

The Rockwell complex was inspired by the early 1900s architecture of Manhattan, and is surrounded by delightful sidewalk restaurants, bars, art galleries and quaint boutique shops. The complex has a stunning seven story interior atrium and luxurious fittings throughout. It also boasts a gym and an indoor, heated pool.

De Waterkant is the trendiest neighbourhood in Cape Town and one of the most exclusive. The apartment enjoys an enviable location in the heart of the city without actually being in the CBD. From the apartment, you can easily walk to most major attractions of Cape Town. The CBD is just a couple of blocks, The V&A Waterfront (shops, restaurants, bars, coffee shops and Robben Island) is only minutes away, and there's an excellent supermarket across the road.

The CTICC (Convention Centre) is nearby and there's very easy access to the highway. You can easily walk to the new Cape Town Stadium and Cape Quarter’s lively restaurant and café scene is just one block away.

If you have a car, the apartment has an assigned, underground secure car parking space with lift access into the building. Security is of the highest standard at the Rockwell with 24hr security and a 24hr staffed front desk.

I've bought and registered a Vodacom 3G WiFi modem that will support up to 5 devices. You're welcome to use this while you're in Cape Town. I've done all the paperwork, so you'd just need to buy additional data (online, or at any Vodacom store, supermarket, petrol station etc).

Additionally, many of the cafes nearby offer free wifi with a purchase, and there are loads of internet cafes in town (yes they still exist here!) that charge R5/hr.

The apartment is privately owned and is managed by a high-end corporate agency who only deal with luxury rentals. They will meet all guests on arrival at The Rockwell and do all possible to ensure your stay in Cape Town is amazing. They also provide a complimentary weekly housekeeping service.

I'm more than happy to offer guests tips on the area and can recommend some amazing restaurants (that you'll need to book ahead for).

* Please note that this is a private apartment in The Rockwell building and is not part of the excellent Rockwell All Suites Hotel & Apartments. As a private resident you are invited to use the pool, gym and restaurant and bar, but bills cannot be charged to the room.

Services like room service, a daily maid service, bellboy and luggage storage are for hotel guests only.

Recently we stayed 8 days at 410 Rockwell and were very happy with everything about the apartment...the location was excellent, close to a great supermarket and walking distance to the waterfront and the downtown. (gas station beside the bldg. was a little noisy a couple of nights but nothing that kept us awake). Building security was excellent and we always felt very safe.Underground parking was vg. Good restaurants are adjacent to the bldg. for evenings when you don't want to go far.

Unit 410 was exactly as presented...very clean (cleaned again mid-week) and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfortable as was LR furniture.

Jenny, our host, was wonderful to deal with and responded quickly when we had a medical issue that we needed assistance with.

We would definitely recommend that you stay at 410 Rockwell for your trip to Cape Town

The apartment is brilliantly situated with easy access to the Waterfront and the city. The cableway is a ten minute drive away. The staff were friendly and efficient. I would highly recommend this apartment.

Great choice in great neighborhood

This is a lovely property in a great location. This stylish apartment is extremely well maintained with all manner of conveniences and the property managers were quite responsive with any questions. The apartment has a great view of Table Mountain, is very close to grocery, shops, restaurants. We loved Cape Town and I'm sure that part of our enjoyment was coming "home" each night to De Waterkant and the Rockwell. We simply loved our stay.

Stunning 1 bedroom flat in the Heart of Cape Town

Beautifully appointed 1 bedroom flat situated in the heart of Cape Towns City Bowl. Great view of Table mountain from the superb lounger on your own balcony! Great restuarants and bars all within a short walking distance, with the V&A Waterfront not even a ten minute gentle stroll, with Willoughbies restuarant certainly having the best sushi i have ever had! Flat was spotlessly clean with a well managed reception and a great helpful agent. I would recommend highly! My wife and i will certainly be back. We had a superb time with this flat as our base to explore Cape Towns many delights!.

Amazing Stay in Our Cape Town Flat!

We stayed three weeks in Jenny's Cape Town holiday apartment, opting a flat over a hotel room. And we're so glad we did! Jenny, the owner has decorated the flat with furniture that is stylish, functional and, importantly, comfortable. From the moment Sarah, the property manager, opened the door, we felt at home. It is spacious and cozy. Too, everything you need is provided, including a washer and dryer, which was a bonus for us since we had been traveling for several months prior to our Cape Town arrival.

Jenny, the owner, was absolutely wonderful in helping work through all of the rental issues. In fact, she was excellent in responding to our questions and concerns, and did so immediately! She's an awesome person to work with! She even provided us with a place to store extra luggage prior to our check in date so we did not have to take two additional large cases with us on a safari trip. You'll love working with her, promise!

An additional note to this rental: It's in the Rockwell hotel, which, in itself, is a bonus. First of all, it's an easy ten minute safe walk to both the waterfront and the city center, and we walked to one or the other every day of our stay, minus the two days we were in Hermanus. Because it is a hotel, the Rockwell thus provides all of the conveniences, bar, restaurant, concierge services, tour bookings, you may need, all located in the lobby. Second, evert Friday we were there the hotel provided live music, in the lobby, and the groups/music was fabulous! It was an added attraction we had not considered, but such a treat! Third, the hotel staff is amazing, all kind and more than willing to make your stay comfortable and memorable. We fell in love with them all, Colin the manager included!

If you have had any reservations about dealing with a rental in South Africa, working with Jenny will make those concerns vanish immediately. We know we'll be back soon! Jenny and Sarah, thanks for everything you did to make our stay an amazing one!

Great apartment in terrific neighbourhood

The apartment is compact, but very comfortable. During our two months, we particularly enjoyed the proximity to the CBD, Cape Town's great restaurants, and easy access to major motorways. Jenny, the owner, was extremely responsive. The apartment is near a very good supermarket (Spar). It overooks a busy street (and petrol station), but that was part of the fun city vibe. Near the Piano Bar with great drinks and music, a nice walk to the Waterfront. The apartment is particularly comfortable for short term stays - kitchen, storage, etc all fine. It was a plus to have the gym and the hotel bar. Felt very safe. We'd happily stay there again.
