A very special place...
Owners Ed and Birgitta are just wonderful people who go way above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. They are so friendly , kind , and detail oriented but also very Northern California relaxed people.
Their home and the rental flat are beautifully furnished, decorated with only high quality furnishings and kept spotless clean. The garden flat has doors that open onto your own private garden, with table and chairs for outside dining, sun loungers, and an acre of land with gardens, the house, swimming pool, jacuzzi, large driveway, etc. You will sleep well here! The house is located up a big hill, almost a mountain!! So its very quiet, you wont be disturbed by noise! And the bed is so comfy and has great pillows and bedding.
I did not hire a car and was able to get around walking, and using local buses. The bus station for the airporter bus and local buses is a 20 min walk. And there is a taxi rank at bus station too, so you always have option of a taxi if you need it. There is a shopping centre with a Wholefoods store just down the road, at bottom of the hill, about 10 min walk. Has various other stores and cafes too. On 4th street there are loads of great cafes, from Italian, Mexican, Puerto Rican, French to Viet Namese. Lots of choice!
The smell of the Eucalyptus trees you encounter when you walk up the hill is beautiful, and you smell it all around the house too. The garden is really an oasis.
Best of all tho..... Birgitta and Ed! Really great people, cant say enough about them!
