The area is beautiful, secluded and very inviting. It also allows me the opportunity to stay away from the daily city hassles.
RELAX, RELAX HAVE FUN AND MORE RELAXING.
We have had a great time at your place.

A truly lovely cottage in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful setting! My wife and I had no idea what a wonderful experience we were in for at this VRBO on Spider Lake. The property is very private and the scenery breathtaking. The mornings were tranquil and the sunsets literally leave you without words to describe their beauty. Sitting, watching the lake and birds, and listening to nature was honestly cathartic. Without meaning to sound melodramatic our senses seemed to reawaken.
If you are looking for a little more activity than we were, this cottage would be the perfect “home base” for day trips in the area. There is so much to see from Traverse City to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Glen Arbor/Glen Haven, Leland (Fishtown), the Mission Peninsula, State Parks, Beaches, all kinds of wineries and microbrews, mini-golf, the commons at the old State Hospital and so much more.
We could not have been happier with our experience. We highly recommend this little piece of Heaven on Spider Lake. The owners of this VRBO are an absolute delight. You will not find anyone as friendly, accommodating and thoughtful as these folks.
We recently came back from our yearly summer vacation to the Traverse City area, we love the Spider Lake area. This cottage was wonderful, just as described by owners. The pictures posted were accurate
and helpful. The beach area was sandy and shallow for little ones. The pontoon boat rental is highly suggested. Had a wonderful time navigating around the lake with it, especially to "party island" where
the water and beach was amazing!! Would love to come back to this special piece of paradise, the owner Buck was very friendly and helpful, extremely accommodating. You will not be disappointed with this peaceful cottage.
Wonderful place to stay. Views are spectacular. Frontage is nice and sandy turns a little silty about 25 ft in. We rented the pontoon, highly recommend. Went all over the lake, so many islands to visit and explore. Home was great, was missing a screen in 2nd bedroom, which I am sure will be fixed. Kitchen well stocked. Bathroom was good. Laundry room was great. Row boat and canoe were fun. I think our favorite thing about this place was the privacy, and the beautiful scenery. Would recommend
Buck, the owner, is first class and very accommodating. The cottage is quaint and secluded as advertised, and the view out the lakeside windows is breath taking. Being in a calm cove has its advantages for peace and relaxation from Sports Lake traffic. Buck has done a good job on the beachfront on land and there is hard pack sand roughly 8-10ft into the water before it turns into very loose sediment -- cannot swim out too far. Dock and pontoon boat were awesome, and the outboard started on first key turn every time. Lake is warm and very clear and has ample sand bar space around numerous islands to unload from a boat to swim and play. Boat is well worth the money.
Cottage is well stocked, including the kitchen. Laundry room has full size appliances, but kitchen does not have dishwasher if that is important to you. Property has updated gas grill and patio furniture looking over the beach. House has ceiling fan in main room, but ventilation could be improved with more screens on backside main windows. Keep in mind we were here on a week in the mid-nineties (very hot).
Overall property is on an exceptional lot. It can use some clean-up of miscellaneous equipment (e.g., old pontoon) on driveway side, but this comment is more about taking property to the next level.
Overall review: very good property and rental. Buck cares and you'll have a good time at this place -- but I highly recommend the boat for full enjoyment of lake.
