We lived in this house before moving to San Francisco, and plan to return to this house when we retire -- as it will always be home!

Quiet neighborhood with easy access to restaurants, shopping and national monuments.
My husband and I and our two children rented this house, fully furnished, for ten months and loved every minute of it. The house is beautifully furnished and well laid out. The neighborhood is wonderful, with easy access to Rock Creek park for jogging trails, Whole Foods for shopping, and a range of good restaurants. It is centrally located for bus routes. And the rental rate is a steal for that location. We recommend it highly.
The house is in a great neighborhood nook, tucked between the Naval Observatory, the National Cathedral and Glover Park. The street is quiet and beautiful, but you're just a short drive or bus ride from Dupont Circle. All the neighbors seem to know each other, and there are a lot of long-time residents. Glover Park has great restaurants and a Whole Foods (just a 5 min walk from the house). For those who like running, wooded trails are just around the corner, and the playground/ballpark is near by for the kids. If you want a safe neighborhood that feels like a suburb, but you still want to be close to everything in the city, this is a great spot.
Owners keep the house in great shape, are responsive and very nice. Two thumbs up.
