We offer three roomy, comfortable apartments in nice scenery. You can spend an unforgettable holiday in the picturesque, quiet mountain village in every season. Every apartment has room for 2-4 adults and 2 children. All kitchens are completely furnished, bathroom, toilet, living room where the guests take their meals, couch and easy chairs, bedroom. From every balcony you have a fantastic view to the mountains. The largest apartment has an extra bedroom for children. You get all bed sheets, towels, baby carriage, sledge, games free. Pets are welcome, too. The Alps offer a great variety of sports and wellness from relaxing to fun active sports. Mountaineering, climbing, hiking, canoeing, tennis, golf in summer and downhill (in Oberjoch and Oberstdorf) and cross country skiing along the river Ostrach and skating and sledging in winter. Covered pool, sauna, nature bath, bakery nearby. Health and beauty treatment are possible.

This apartment has a large balcony to the east and south with a fantastic view into the surrounding gardens and the mountains with its summits. You can take your meals there during sunny weather. The bedroom has a double bed and a sleeping gallery for children. The living room has a dining area, couch and easy chairs and two foldaway beds. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a dining area for 2 people for a quick meal. China and cutlery are there for at least 6 people. The bathroom has a bathtub (here you can relax your muscles after mountain climbing), washbasin and toilet. You enter the place into a friendly furnished entrance hall with mirror and wardrobe. The apartment has 65 sqm and is situated on the first floor and very quiet. The owner lives downstairs and speaks perfect English and will help you planning a perfect holiday.

Hinterstein is the last village of the valley of the river Ostrach. In former times it was the hunting area of the Bavarian kings. Today it is the starting point for hiking and mountain climbing (also for seniors or guests with children, light tours, well known climbing tours or just walking. The animals and flowers of the valley are always admired and photographed. A waterfall, natural bath,(200 m), playing ground, paths along the river Ostrach, carriage museum and the way to the Giebelhaus (the valley divides here and ends up in the mountains),(here you can see the golden eagle) are very special for friends of nature all year through. Wherever you go, you see the magnificence of scenery of the mountains and the meadows, where the cows graze in summer and the marmot whistles. Our valley is the most beautiful valley of Bavaria (so a television journalist said).Restaurants and bakery are near by. We are situated 865 m above sea level and our mountain air is good for allergic people.

In the Allgäu there are a few golf courses which you can reach within an hour. Oberstdorf, Sonnenalp, Fischen, Ottobeuren, Steibis

Along the river Ostrach there is the cross country trace for cross country skiing. Downhill skiing in Oberjoch, Oberstdorf, and many other places. Sledging at the Hornbahn, and down from Schwarzenberg and for little children from the hill next to the house.

Beside Haus 'Gabi' the Hotel 'Waidmannsheil' is situated. You can have breakfast there from 8 - 10 o'clock from the buffet, it costs 10 Euro per person.

Ideal place to stay in a lovely village

My family and me stayed here in summer 2008 (August). It was a fantastic stay in the Alps. Beautiful scenery, plenty of interesting hiking paths, good bus service to the near villages and towns for more montain hiking opportunities (e.g. Obersdorf), cosy village. Both mountain and valley hikinh opportunities. Nice small shop and bakery at hand round the corner. If you are nor from Germany, this is an ideal place to meet Bavaria and get acquianted with a new lifestyle, not like in your (at least not like in my) country. We were never bored, even in rainy days there was something to do - waterpark, picture taking opportunities in rain are plentiful.
Advantages:
spacy rooms and cosy house; very friendly and helpful hosts; paradise environment
Disadvantages: none if you plan to come in summer or automn (but be on the lookout about the weather forecasts).
We are very thankful to the owners for taking care of us and helping us to enjoy the stay. Me, my wife, and my son enjoyed the stay a lot.

Helle, geräumige und gut eingerichtete Wohnung, sehr freundliche Vermieterin.
Wir hatten einen sehr erholsamen Urlaub mit unseren beiden Hunden.

Superurlaub mit dem Hund in einer großen Wohnung

Es handelt sich um eine geräumige Wohnung, die gut eingerichtet ist und für den Hund eine großen Auslauf auf dem Ost und Südost-Balkon bietet. Das Dorf bietet Wanderern gute Möglichkeiten. Nicht zu vergessen ist die besonders freundliche Eigentümerin, die sehr zuvorkommend ist.
Alles in Allem - zu empfehlen !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wir haben die Empfehlung aus dem "Fressnapf-Journal".

Wir genossen unseren 1-wöchigen Urlaub quasi vor der Haustür in einer äußerst gemütlichen und sauberen Wohnung.Auch die Begrüßung und die Hinweise auf besondere Sehenswürdigkeiten haben uns sehr gefallen.
Dafür herzlichen Dank, wir kommen bestimmt wieder.
