We used this property as a base camp for our hunting trip and even with temps as low as -18 degrees with -5 high's the house was very comfortable without any problems. The way it is set up , we could clean up at night before ever entering the living areas. 4 of us did not feel crowded at all. No really close neighbors yet Main St. is only about 1/2 mile away. Questions were answered immediately. A great place to stay as we have booked again this year. Thanks again Jen.
What a great place to stay in Montana! Jenn/Jack were so easy to work with, answered all of our questions, (the pharmacy and the bistro at the bowling alley were wonderful places to eat) and took care of the many details that made our trip so enjoyable. The location was perfect for our sightseeing and "grazing" around the country. The house with the garage was great for the cold/windy days. I would recommend Jenn/Jack's house for families, fishermen, hunters, and outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds. Thanks for making our Montana visit so memorable!
This House did it all and we had a full house of hunters. Beds were great and the kitchen had most of the pots and pans we needed. One suggestion would be to bring a roasting pot for large meals. Heating wasn't a problem in 9 degree weather and the garage storage area was really nice for coolers and equipment.
This was such a great place to stay! We had 2 separate families and the setup with the one room downstairs having a tv and being somewhat separate from the rest worked really well. Jenn was wonderful to work with... very kind and accommodating.
Our family stayed here for 10 days in June of 2013 and we really enjoyed ourselves. The place is charming and clean with a great view of the mountains. (I wish I could upload pictures) There is cable TV and a great internet connection that came in handy on the rainy days. The owners live in the same town and helped us get acclimated quickly. They are great people eager to help. It didn't take long to feel at home.
From Ennis, were were about an hour from West Yellowstone as well as Lewis and Clark Caverns. The Madison River runs right by the town and feeds into Ennis Lake. (lots of fishing very close by) Bozeman is about an hour away. Virginia City is about a 1/2 hour away, too.
It was also great to just let the kids explore Ennis- They had their bikes and they just rode around town.
We had six adults in this rental and we were all very comfortable. Jenn has thought of everything to provide a pleasant stay. The gas stoves kept everything very cozy. We'd definitely stay again!
