Utility room with washer and dryer, gas fireplace, dining room to accommodate 10 (with table extensions)

250 sq. ft. screened patio (perfect for entertaining) as well as a huge back yard outfitted with Tournament-style Horseshoes and Washers and Croquet. The perfect place for friends and family to entertain and relax!

Cost-effective, spacious alternative to downtown

This funky 1950's ranch has been tastefully renovated/updated and comfortably furnished. We got a lot of use out of the huge gas grill and ate practically every meal on the wonderful screened-in porch. We particularly appreciated Sally going to the extra effort to get the house ready earlier than her standard check-in time on the day we arrived, after we had to wake up at 4 am that morning for 2 long flights!

We planned our Austin trip before we realized that the X Games were in town the same week---many rental property owners seemed to be taken by surprise as well: Downtown-area rentals seemed to double in price overnight (in two cases, not until I had tried to reserve at their published rates...). This house was a cost-effective alternative, as long as you have a car -- it's a little further out but in a quiet neighborhood with easy access to main roads/highways.

The only (very minor) suggestions I'd make are to consider updating the kitchen and bathroom cabinet doors and hardware -- some of the painted doors don't close all the way and they look dated compared to the rest of the new renovation; and mowing the lawn more frequently -- perhaps it had rained more than usual recently, but the lawn was looking a little raggedy by midweek.

Marginal location, but great landlords.

Location of this rental is marginal, but the landlords are great. We had a power outage in mid-rental due to a storm knocking a tree down next door which took out our power pole/line. Our landlords stepped in immediately and made a good alternative rental available to us. The back screened-in porch/patio is really pleasant. And everything was sparkling clean and reasonable well stocked. But the overall condition of the property is pretty dated.

Great experience!

Sally was so great to work with and made our Austin vacation a worry-free and much more affordable one! We saved so much money by staying here rather than paying for hotel rooms and having to be separated most of the weekend. The only thing I would recommend: more mirrors!

Super Property! Will be back!

Super Property! My 4 buddies and I visited Austin for a guys weekend! The house was stocked with everything we needed. There is a huge gas grill that we used several times as well as the Horseshoe set in the back yard.

The home is close to UT and we hit some trendy bars and restaurants all within 10 minutes from the home.

The home had cable TV, so we were able to watch FOOTBALL!
We each had our own bed, so there was no doubling up! 3 beds in the bedroom and the other 2 guys slept on the large sleeper sofa in the living area. Great price for all you are getting. So much better and less expensive than a hotel!
