This is a recently built 1 bedroom apartment (800 sq ft)above a retail space (used to be our ice cream/sandwich/gift shop). It has a very large deck (~ 1000 sq ft) that looks out over the Pepin marina and Lake Pepin. We have been greening up the deck this year with new plantings. The apartment is completely furnished and has a comfortable decor. It's simple style will appeal to those wanting a reasonably priced escape with ample space for a comfortable extended stay. A great place for couples or families.
Come to the Pepin area to slow down, relax, and enjoy the wonderful views of the Mississippi River bluffs and Lake Pepin. Explore the many small towns, shops, art galleries, and eateries the area has to offer.
Please know that Pepin has trains that run along the waterfront. Trains run very regularly! Some folks don't like the noise.

John and Deirdre Worrell had a dream to run their own businesses so we purchased a small commercial building on the waterfront in Pepin, WI in 2007. Since then the building has been demolsihed and rebuilt to have a retail space, office space, and apartment space. We used to run Hear it Melt - an ice cream/sandwich shop in the retail space. Deirdre's Audiology business North Ridge Hearing Company is in the office space. The residential space above the commercial space is our apartment get-away. We love the beauty, pace, and people of the Pepin area for recreating.

We chose Pepin for our location because:
- The area is beautiful
- Lake Pepin offers 17,000 acres of water
- The Tiffany Wildlife area offers 14,000 acres of wildlife area
- It's close to our home (1 hr) and offers a wide variety of activities.
Pepin is a village of ~1000 people. We love the small town feel. There are also several small towns in the area that also offer a variety of little shops and activities.
Came up to Pepin to get away and relax for a bit, and this place was perfect. An amazing view, outstanding location to shops and restaurants, and a perfect set up. I can't wait to come back.
Another wonderful stay at the Pepin place. Enjoyed some fine weather on the deck even this late in the season. Nothing beats pie for breakfast at The Homemade Cafe and brats on the grill, courtesy of Paul & Fran's! Thinking next about a winter time adventure.....
Very comfortable and clean apartment. If the weather would have been nicer, the deck is lovely and has a great view. We really only crashed one nite and left early the next morning, but I'd love to go back and actually enjoy the lake and Pepin and that great view. Great value, lovely space, enough for 4+ adults.
We really enjoyed the view and closeness to the harbor. Very comfortable accommodations. Wish we could have enjoyed the deck a little more but we had rain and chilly weather. Nice view through the windows. Trains add to the unique experience. Wish we could have stayed longer.
We loved our apartment across from the marina in Lake Pepin. The listing photographs didn't live up to the actual space. It was prettier than expected and so clean and new looking. We loved the Pepin area's scenery, the Homemade Café, and the Laura Ingall Wilder's Museum. Stockholm, which is a short distance north, offered wonderful Swedish pancakes at the Bogus Café and lovely unique shops including a bakery serving Swedish doughnuts and several varieties of specialty breads. We had a great time enjoying the wonderful scenery along the Mississippi. We would definitely recommend this apartment and the Pepin area as a great vacation retreat.
We had a terrific girl's getaway weekend. The accommodations were clean and comfortable. Being able to look out at the marina from the sunny deck, and being just a couple of doors away from the Harbor View Cafe made for a great weekend. Little towns, scenic overlooks, and fun wineries are nearby. This property exceeded our expectation. I hope to return. (Keep in mind you will see lots of trains!)
There are several local festivals in the area each year. There is a significant art community in the area. Check out the Pepin Art & Design Center. Spring and Fall Art Tours. Fly Away Film Festival to name a few.
