Come stay in a 2009 custom built home in a mountain setting with beautiful views over Hominy Creek and convenience to the best the Smokey Mountains and Asheville has to offer.

Outside, suspended in the trees, you can enjoy dinner on a huge deck watching the sunset over mountains, while inside you will enjoy the character and comfort of a certified NC HealthyBuilt home. The passive solar design keeps the home breezy and cool in the summer, and lets the sunshine warm the home on cold winter days.

The house will be clean and ready for you to walk in and relax. Guests enjoy great amenities such as a whole-home audio system, wireless internet, a small office, 36' HDTV, DVD player, ice maker, gas BBQ grill, fireplace, marble floors and a room with musical instruments! The beautiful open kitchen works very well for entertaining, while the indirect lighting adds the perfect ambiance to the home in the evenings.

The three bedrooms are located on the second floor of the home. The spacious master bedroom has a balcony and beautiful Hickory floors complimented by a beautiful queen bedroom set facing (2) 4ft x 5ft tall windows looking south into the tree tops. The other 2 bedrooms; one having a bunk bed and queen bed on travertine stone floors set in front of the homes largest window, while the other you'll step down into luxurious shag carpet where a comfy queen bed makes for a peaceful sleep.

Girls Weekend

It was our annual "girls weekend". We were calling it a "cabin" up until we walked in the front door. First thing you will notice are the beautiful floors. Then you will notice how well contsructed this house is. We were very comfortable here, quiet neigborhhood, comfortable beds, it was very clean and we were never too warm or cool. We enjoyed seeing the balloons sail past on a Saturday morning and the pretty fall foilage. The kitchen had most of what we needed and has very nice appliances. Downtown Ashville was a short easy drive as was the Builtmore Village and the NC Arboretum, a beautiful place in any season. It was a little too cool to take full advantage of the large deck, but it would be a lovely spot to enjoy summer evenings and mornings over looking a stream and mountains.

We are a family of five with three children from ages 5-10. Loved the house and setting. It was mountain cozy but still had a modern feel which was exactly what we were looking for. The rooms were very comfortable and we actually had more room that we needed. The kitchen was well equipted with everything that one who likes to cook will need.
Most things we wanted to do were a 20-30 minute drive away. The owner Jason was very helpful and friendly. And FYI - a true prize is the fact that he can take you white water rafting! That was one of the highlights of our trip. It definitely beat having to go on a huge bus group rafting trip with bunch of people you don't know. This was personal - and Jason had great knowledge of the area.
The view from the house was beautiful and the surrounding area was peaceful and private but not too far away from civilization. My husband and I enjoyed the outside deck for our morning coffee and for a glass or two of wine at night after the kids passed out!
The only negative was getting used to the well water. I would reccommend not drinking it which is fairly easy - however bating in it us unavoidable - and takes a bit of getting used to as it is yellow. Just take quick showers!

Very relaxing vacation!

Thank you for sharing your home with us! The house was beautiful, we enjoyed the deck, watching the hot air balloons in the morning and enjoying the cool temps and in the evening eating dinner and watching the sun set with a glass of wine. We all wanted to stay a little while longer. Our days were filled with sight seeing and at night either eating dinner on the deck or enjoying some of the great restaurants in the area. We will definately return!

Wonderful mountain stay!!

We stayed here during mid-December and while the weather was warmer than anticipated, the stay at this home was extremely comfortable. The house is located just outside of Asheville, with a 10 minute drive to downtown. We went snow tubing in Maggie Valley which was only a 20 minute drive. Everything is close and only a quick drive to what we wanted to do. The property is clean and very well-maintained, the only negative being the lack of curtains/blinds on the windows. Owner is quick to respond to emails, and answers all calls. Definitely recommend this mountain home to anyone looking to stay in the Asheville area!!
