Somesville House Rental Photos and Description
The historic Isaac Somes house in the heart of Somesville is the quintessential summer home on Mount Desert Island. The Isaac Somes house is generally thought to be the oldest existing structure in the village and has remained in the Somes family since it was built in 1828. It is flanked on the south side by a one-story ell and on the north by a Colonial Revival porch. It has been modernized over the years and is quite comfortable for today's guests. The house will accommodate 12 people with 6 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There is one king, four queens, one double and one cot for a small child. The gracious living room has a lovely fireplace and the screened in porch is loaded with lovely wicker furniture so you can spend your time reading or just enjoying the views of Somes Pond and the meadow outside.
