Condo, 1 Bedroom + Den, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Location, location, location – this weekly/monthly rental is a new, very bright and modern condo (1 BR + den) in an architectural award winning building in downtown Toronto’s exclusive Yorkville neighborhood. Located on Yorkville Avenue (Bay and Bloor streets), you are within walking distance of high-end Yorkville shopping area , boutique art galleries, many restaurants, parks, vintage wine store, libraries, Art gallery of Ontario, Royal Ontario Museum, Opera House, theaters, University of Toronto, Conservatory of Music and the Toronto International Film Festival. Subway and bus stops are 3 minutes from the front door. All Toronto sporting, entertainment and cultural activities are easily accessible within minutes.

The Condo has a main lobby concierge, available parking and two modern gyms. You can relax in an outdoor rooftop Barbeque and entertainment area, or hold a special event in the party and recreation rooms which are available for family and corporate events. The condo is equipped with all modern conveniences such as Wi-Fi high-speed internet, cable TV, stereo, phone, washer and dryer.

The condo has one bedroom with double bed plus we can accommodate additional guests with a double sofa bed in the den. A modern open kitchen is fully equipped with toaster, coffee maker, and dishwasher.

About The Owner

I am an engineer and have lived in this part of Toronto for most of my life (I was born in Sweden and we emigrated when I was 3).

My work has enabled me and my family to travel extensively to many countries around the world and we have always elected to stay at rental accommodations to experience the local culture. Our condo in Yorkville allows you to become fully engaged in the many activities that Toronto has to offer. You are also within walking distance of the University of Toronto and financial and business center of Toronto

We bought our rental property in this location because it is our favorite neighborhood in Toronto.

Excellent area! Cute apartment!

My husband stayed here when I went to take a yoga course. The apt is perfectly situated near the train, restaurants and shops. We were very happy with the size and all of the amenities (especially with washer and dryer!) very close to museum, a few steps from the Yorkville area and U of T. We bought SIM cards from Rogers a block south, very convenient.
The apartment was clean and it was very easy to 'check in', safe area.
Both Joe and Raidis communicated before our arrival date.
I would not hesitate to stay there next year when I take Level 2 of my course!

Our family enjoys the same neighborhood (and has for many years starting all the way back to our years at the University of Toronto - a short walk away - "days of when the trend of the day" was the hippies of 60s!!).

My wife & I stayed here for 2 weeks in Feb/12. Ya, I know, great season! But nonetheless.
The location is great - close to subway, Tim's & Starbucks 1/2 block away. Liquor store in mall enroute to subway. Grocery store 2 blocks away
The unit was very much as advertised & the TV had more channels than you can possibly need. We even watched our local news from 3 time zones away.
The unit was what I call "guy clean" - not sparkling but not objectionable. We had an issue w/the tub drain that wasn't/couldn't be addressed until after we left so I did a makeshift repair. However I'm quite sure it was a one off issue & shouldn't create any problems for anyone else
Remember you're in the heart of a big city so when the firehall down the street wakes you up @ 3am, that's how it is
One last comment - there are NO condiments beyond tea bags so if you want to cook, bring your own salt, pepper, coffee, spices. Nor ketchup or mayo - or anything.
We visit TO regularly & we will stay here again (c/w a stash of spices in our bags!)
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing
Owner's Response: Thank you for the review - the tub drain was indeed damaged and the expedited replacement and repair unfortunately took a few days as this was a non-standard replacement component. We did email our guests after their departure to report that the tub drain has been repaired and that we welcome tenants (current and past) to report any damaged equipment or deficiencies they encounter to allow us to attend to this type of issue.
