Why the Owner Chose Turtle Tail:: After Searching the globe for an ideal beach front property, we selected Providenciales, Turks and Caicos because of ease of access, upscale tourist properties, year round comfortable temperatures, low crime and easy everyday access at reasonable air fares. The island has both classical tourist areas, including resort beaches, shops and restaurants as well as very exclusive areas with private beaches, all within 15 minutes of each other.
The Unique Benefits of this Estate:: Year Purchased: 2010 - Panoramic view of beach and ocean. Fantastic view from every window. Extremely quiet - even during high season. Lush vegetation (with newly planted citrus and banana trees). Beach is at your front door, 7 minutes drive to grocery store and restaurants. 5 minutes drive to dive boat operation. Two, 2 person sea kayaks and a 4 person paddle boat with life jackets are provided at the villa. Play tennis at the Graceway Sports Center and Tennis Club just a few minutes away from the villa home of the world renowned Gabe Jaramillo Tennis Academy. The over 1 km long sand beach is very private as there are no public access points, only the few accompanying high end villa residents have access - the beach is usually vacant - no peddlers, boats, hotel guests or other visitors. The near shore water is shallow, free from currents, warm all year and is protected from large waves making it ideal for swimming and for children. 50+ with 2 children in university. We are Company owners who travel worldwide for business. We enjoy privacy as well as the small town feeling.
We have seen most of the world and could have picked any number of properties in very nice settings. In the end we picked the Turks and Caicos for our villa location.
Owner purchased this villa in 2010
After visiting many Caribbean and tropical locations in search of a location for a vacation property we concluded that the Turks and Caicos was the best. Small island, small town atmosphere, many north American residents, lowest crime rate in the Caribbean, English language, short flight times, minimal insects due to dry climate, many high value villa's in exclusive neighborhoods, crystal clear water, pristine beaches and consistent year round weather.
After the island was selected, we searched for the ideal location and/or property. In all we looked at 18 different beach front and ocean front villa's and lots. Many were impressive for various reasons but Villa Roi Soleil was an instant WoW when compared to the rest.. Roi Soleil was not just another nice house on the beach (and there are a lot of them in the TCI), it was a unique oceanfront setting that was designed and built in the spirit of the Caribbean, Quality but not at the expense of livability, were sand, surf and good times could be had and never feel out of place - bright, airy, spectacular views from every room. In the end it was just different than the rest.
With some effort we felt it could be even better and in fact could be one of the best on the island. In the end we selected Villa Roi Soleil because of the central location, very private beach, south shore setting, calm waters, hill side elevation and spectacular views. The villa layout was also one of the most unique designs we had seen in all of our travels.
Once purchased, we focused our efforts on repairs, and upgrades to the site to make it one of the best maintained and equipped villas on the island. The villa is now equipped with state of the art telephone, television, security, home automation and backup power systems, it has been fully landscaped with tropical and flower gardens as well as flagstone walkways and . Security gates. Even approaching from the road, this villa looks different, if you come we think you will agree.
We looked at many beachfront properties in the Turks and Caicos islands. Long bay , Grace Bay, Turtle Cove, Sapodilla and Taylor Bays, Chalk Sound, Turtle Tail - Many price ranges and many Property styles. In the end we picked this one. Villa Roi Soleil was different than all the rest for several reasons. The location is very private and enjoys a private white sand beach that seldom see's any humans. The water is very calm and yet there is always a pleasant breeze to keep you cool. The south shore sun makes it warm all year around, even on the very few days were the temperature drops to the low 70's. It is what we felt a tropical getaway should be like - Peaceful, Quiet, Warm, spectacular views yet only a few minutes from the main tourist areas and attractions, the location of the villa allows you to reach stores and restaurants in less than 8 minutes. The airport is only 10 minutes away.
In order to keep things in top condition (which is difficult being right on the beach), we have full time grounds maintainence staff who tend to the beach, garden and buildings as well as great and lend assistance to the guests if they need it. We take the view that the property should offer renters everything that we would expect in a high end vacation rental. So far the comments we have received have confirmed that this is being achieved with great success. We hope you too will be able to enjoy what the villa has to offer. Please let us know if there are any questions about the island, the villa, or even about villa rentals in general, we are gad to help.
If you want a memorable vacation in the Caribbean, the Turks and Caicos Islands and villa Roi Soleil will be unforgettable.
We had a wonderful time staying at Villa Roi Soleil. Beautiful Views and relaxing environment. Thanks for sharing your home.
We had the absolute pleasure of staying here for a week in October. Two words immediately come to mind when I reflect on this villa: beautiful and private.
A concern with travelling to the Caribbean is the sheer number of people who do the same. Resorts tend to be loud and the areas around the resorts crowded. This villa is on the South side of the island, away from the busyness and the noise of the resorts. The location on Turtle Tail kept it from feeling like isolation. The grocery store was about 10 minutes away with restaurants at about the same distance. This property was gated and provided that sense of security when we were all down on the beach or in the pool.
Judging by the ‘beaches’ in front of the near-by villas, the owner has clearly put a significant amount of effort into clearing his section. This beach was fully sand, with several beach chairs and umbrellas provided. The water was shallow, even walking out into the ocean several hundred feet.
The view from the villa was magnificent. The unmistakeable Caribbean-blue water could be best appreciated from the infinity-edge pool deck and the master bedroom. The pictures on the villa website try their best to show the view, but it is impossible to do it justice. We very much enjoyed the quiet sunsets.
We would highly recommend this villa to anyone making the trip to Providenciales. One week spent here, however, will forever change your feelings about staying in a resort. We will be, without a doubt, returning in the future.
Our "family" of 8 spent one week at the end of June at Villa Roi Soleil. As with every other trip, there were no signifcant problems or disappointments, other than having to return home.
I would highly recommend this villa as it suited our group very well with plenty of space for everyone, it was very well equipped and it was well cared for with an owner who was always just a phone call away (in addition to a groundskeeper who came daily). A condo would have not worked for our loud and raucous group of young adult children. We probably would have been asked to leave most resorts based on "volume" alone!
The biggest drawback, and only drawback, was the drive from Bristol Hill Road to everything that mattered. The road is in horrible condition in places. The beach at Grace Bay is FAR superior to the beach on the property, but if I had to pick (when traveling with 6 mini adults) between a private villa with a "meh" beach and a GREAT beach in a condo community, I would pick the villa. Late night pool parties, loud music, etc. - you get the idea.
Pros: Private Villa, fully equipped kitchen and state of the art electronics, lots of space to spread out to enjoy some solitude, secure and safe with security cameras, motion sensors, locking gates, no meter on electricity, easy to contact owner, free calls to the US, free use of washer/dryer, daily visit from maintenance man, housekeeping comes once mid-week.
Cons: Beach is rocky and pebbly and you need water shoes to wade in through the first 20 yards or so, which is not accurately represented in the photos. The photos definitely make the beach look nicer than it is. Kayaks were in disrepair, but fixed once I called. The A/C is tricky to use and we needed to recruit the maintenance man to help on several occasions in resetting the units to cool properly. Refrigerator was cold but freezer didn't freeze solid. It definitely struggled against the heat and humidity in the open air kitchen. Using portable coolers for beer and soda helped reduce the need to constantly open the refrigerator door. The pullout sofa in the guest house is AWFUL and owner needs to provide a 3" or 4" thick mattress topper if you plan on using it as someone's full time bed.
If you are self-sufficient, like to cook most meals and content to be a little more isolated from the center of activity, this resort is worth taking a look at.

The location of this villa, is so private, so peaceful and so beautiful, you want to do nothing all week but stare out at the stunning turquoise water, listen to the waves, and watch the stars. From my bedroom I could lay in bed and see the full array of stars. There is no noise pollution or light pollution - it is just so romantic and relaxing. One day a rain storm set in, I sat in the screened in porch warm and dry watching the clouds float by all while still doing my office work. I loved it! Every morning went out to explore a different island or cove by kayak, then would stop somewhere and snorkel in that location finding a different cliff, islands and fish to explore. This villa is beautifully set up with 3 double kayaks, stand up board, tons of snorkeling equipment, water toys for kids, full library and movie collection. You really don't need to bring anything other than a good book. Wilbert will come and meet you at the airport and checks in with you everyday to see if you need anything. He is great for getting information on what to see and do, or getting fresh coconuts out of the trees! Teenagers might need a car to go hit bars, but for parents, you might just never want to move. The kitchen has everything you need for a large group and is well set up. The outdoor barbecue and bar is fun to hang around and serve cocktails. I didn't want to leave and can't wait to go back!
Villa Roi Soliel was the location of the perfect vacation for my family. My wife and I along with our 3 children and my mother-in-law were really excited when we picked this house for our vacation. The pictures on the site were beautiful and all couldn't wait to get to the house. When we arrived, we were met at the airport by Wilbert. Wilbert was the nicest, most helpful man during our trip. Once we got our rental car, we followed him to the house. On the way to the house, we stopped at the IGA (Grocery store). It was as good or better than most grocery stores near my home. Once we were at the house he took us for a tour of the house and did a great job explaining how everything worked including the TV's, A/C, home theater and music for the pool area. Most days we watched a movie after dinner. They had a great video library for all ages.
The pictures on the website are beautiful, and seeing it in person was even better. Yes, the house is as beautiful as the pictures show, but it does not capture the breezes coming off the ocean, the calming sounds of the ocean waves or the warm sun melting away the stress of the busy and hectic life we left at home. We all decided to unplug for the week and we had no cell phones or watched any TV. I wasn't sure how my 3 children ages 12 to 21 would react, but they all did it and really enjoyed it.
Each day we ventured out of the house for an activity. We had either lunch or dinner out at a restaurant and the other meals we ate at the house. The house had almost every kitchen gadget you could imagine. I like to cook and the outdoor grill was my favorite. The house had a wide variety of glasses and I used many of them as we utilized the Margaritaville (Frozen Adult Beverage Maker). The excursions were many times recommendations from Wilbert. Our favorite was to Bugalou's on the beach near 5 Cays, away from the tourist locations near Grace Beach. Wilbert and the cleaning staff were awesome. They were available if we needed anything and they kept the house, the pool and the grounds in great shape.
Another great thing about the house was the beach and the kayaks available for our use. We went out to the islands about 1/4 and 1/2 mile off the beach. They are in some of the website pictures. The neat thing was that the water is not that deep and the next day we walked to them. The water was only about 4 ft deep.
All-in-all it was the greatest vacation we have taken and can't wait to come back.
This villa is so beautiful......words can't describe. The view over the infinity pool immediately takes your breath away. It was a tough decision whether to sit by the pool or go down to the deserted beach. We found starfish the size of a saucers. You could walk out for 500 feet and still be up to your waist. Great for kids. The inside is as beautiful as the outside. This place is a hidden gem, we look forward to going back.......soon.
We stayed at Roi Soliel first week of August right after the tropical storm passed through and did not know what to expect. What a great place. The wine, water and villa hats was a nice touch that you do not see at many places. Quiet, scenic and right on the beach. we took the kayaks out every morning to the 3 islamds and enjoyed the pool and deck the rest of the time. everything was great. The owner stopped by on the day we left to see how we enjoyed the stay. Wilbert met us at the airport, came in every day and took care of everything we needed. It was a great vacation and we will be back. R & C
Villa Roi Soleil is located on the south shore in the exclusive turtle tail area of the island. This area is unique in that it has a very private beach, calm bay and spectacular day and night views (there is no light pollution on the south shore so the night sky is extremely clear). Beach access is only available through the few high end private villas along the shore and as a result the beach is mostly unoccupied with only a few local villa guests being seen in the water from time to time.
Unlike the condominiums and villas on grace bay, Villa Roi Soleil faces south and is sunny and warm all day every day regardless of time of year (and thus the name of villa). The villa also has unobstructed views of both the sunrise and sunsets, a feature that is only available in a very few locations on the island.
The turtle tail villas and ocean views cannot be seen from the road as all of the villas are built on the ocean side of a steep ridge. the ridge obstructs all publicly accessible views to the south. Once you enter a Villa in turtle tail and can see the ocean, the views are spectacular,
and with the combination of color, expanse and elevation resulting in many repeat island visitors commenting that they are the best on the island.
If you have been to the Turks and Caicos before you will know how beautiful the water is. If you have not been to the south side on turtle tail, it is even nicer. Even the locals that have never seen the ocean in front of turtle tail are surprised at the fantastic all day (and night sky) views once they visit the villa. In addition, Villa Roi Soleil is one of a very few Villa's in turtle tail (and the south side of the island for that matter) that has is own private beach. It is also the villa with the longest private beach.
The grounds and Villa are tended to daily by Villa staff. Grounds keeper is also in charge of maintenance should any issues arise during your stay . Villa is equipped with extensive security features and all property entrances are gated with digital locks and covered by Video Surveillance.
