Charming San Francisco Neighborhood! Homes were all built in 1920ties.

Garden Apt is a modern brand new build out consisting of a fully furnished 1 bedroom (plus sleeper sofa in living room),full bath,kitchen(refrigerator/microwave) fully stocked/self contained & private entrance. Includes TV, cable, WIFI. (Very Modern/new furnishings)

Ideal for tourists/business people staying on a temporary basis. 5 minute walk to bus lines, walk to BART, 20 minutes to downtown, easy freeway access to Hiway 101, 280 & Coast route US 1

Parking (usually in front of house). I am within walking distance of Glen Park and all its little charming eateries and eclectic Bernal Heights (Cortland Avenue) with several wonderful places to eat (and some fav of mine watering holes)

About The Owner

Just a down to earth person with a lot of life experiences. I have a 17 year old cat with no tail named 'Elvis' (indoor cat) who lets me live in his house! San Francisco is where I live/work. i know about every inch of the City and there is no street I dont know! I am well traveled and can help you get around City. I just want you to have the best time while visiting... I know when I travel I appreciate somebody who can give good directions or is familar with City.I am a car kinda guy and you might catch me in one of my old Mercury Cougars going to car rally or catching a Giants game.

Why The Owner chose San Francisco

I choose this area for the beautiful old homes and neighborhood feel. Its an old very established neighborhood. My house is in a very convenient area near all transportation and typically you can get to anything from my house in about 15-20 minutes (major attractions) I am freeway close for those wanting to go to Silicon Valley, Monterey, Santa Cruz or just trip down scenic highway 1. You dont have to drive across down to get to the freeway... Very in-out. EXCELLENT transportation hub. Bus is a 5 minute walk, BART our rail system is 15 minutes (easy ride downtown to all tourist attractions/business)

What makes this apartment unique

First affordability, SF is very expensive and you wont get anything like this downtown or you will pay twice the amount, plus pay for parking! Its a very quiet neighborhood. You will come home to a nice apt you can relax in after a day of tourist activities. Maybe sit on the deck with a glass of wine. You will get me as a host and my goal is to make your stay as nice and fun as possible. My experience of 33 years living in San Francisco will be of value in helping you make reservations, insight on SF and just getting around... I know how to get around and that includes by foot, bus (public transportation), and car.

15 minutes to US 1 Coastal Route (Monterey, Santa Cruz, Monterey), near charming shops of Bernal Heights/Glen Park.

My second stay was even better than my first. Eric is an excellent host. The apartment felt even more comfortable than before and the "extras" especially in the refrigerator were greatly appreciated. Getting around town from this location is as easy as can be in San Francisco while still living in a neighborhood. I'd highly recommend this property, as long as I get right of first refusal when I want to stay.

Owner's Response: I really appreciate very much when I get review and even more happy when a prior guest comes back for a second visit! I always make a point of leaving things in frig and especially when I know a guest has traveled far and it getting in late. Your tired and want to go to bed, but your also hungry....

My wife and I enjoyed a great stay here. The location is very convenient and the apartment is classy and private. We walked everywhere or took the public transportation. Close to several bus routes, BART, and freeways, the apt. Is minutes from anywhere you want to visit in the Bay area. The Bernal Hill neighborhood is very safe with nice restaurants and cafes. The host is fantastic--very flexible and accommodating! We'll be back.

When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised that we found parking right out front and the owner was out front waiting to greet us. Once inside, it was exactly as the listing photos showed. Very clean, neat, well maintained and comfortable. The neighborhood was very quiet and the backyard and deck were perfectly landscaped and maintained and it was a great place to sit and have coffee in the morning. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend getaway. The owner was very nice and helpful and I would make this my first choice when I return to San Francisco.

Very Nice!

Eric was very helpful and hospitable! The rental was charming and suited our needs perfectly. The only small thing potential guests might be aware of was the distance of the walk to the BART station. If it's perfect weather...as it almost always is!..it isn't a problem if you are in decent shape.

I appreciate your selecting my place out of all the choices in Bernal Heights....San Francisco is a City to walk and enjoy. More to see walking than in a car! Buses are about a 5 minute walk and BART our rail transportation system is 15 minutes to the station, and another 10 from the station to downtown. I tell people I am not near Fisherman's Wharf or Golden Gate Park, but in a "real San Francisco neighborhood" without the hotel, touristy, busy vibe...

Great Apartment, me and my wife will make it a yearly trip and stay here.

We loved Eric's apartment and specially how great host he is, we drove to San Francisco and we never had a problem finding parking in front of the apartment and if we did Eric would park his car to reserve a spot for us, he'll wait for us to get home no matter how late we arrived to welcome us and see if everything was great. The apartment has a perfect quiet location, with a BART station just a mile away and a bus stop a few yards from the doorsteps, a great Italian restaurant with cheap and delicious food, we are definitely coming back this summer to SF and there's no place better for us to stay than in Erick's beautiful apartment.

Owner's Response: Wow! Thank you both for the nice review. I get a lot of International visitors and I really try my hardest to make sure everybody has a nice visit to my place and City. I have traveled a lot and know that its nice not to have to worry about (especially) on your last day to deal with airport arrangements. It allows you an extra day sometimes to visit attractions you might not be able to fit into your schedule, because of arrangements to the airport. Its a mere 10-15 minute ride from the airport to my house and if I am around when guest leaves I will be more than happy to run them out to the airport. I really enjoy the International guests that have visited. I learn so much from each and everyone that stays. I have had guests from Mexico, New Zealand, France, Spain, Germany, Japan, England, Belgium, Netherlands, Australia, and Canada.
