I am a retired Plumber and have lived and worked in Sedona for the past 25 years. I am actively involved in Mountain Bike/Hiking trail design and building. I spend alot of time on the land and want other to enjoy it as much as I do. I love to hike and ride. Having recently retired I stay busy in the trails community and work closely with others to ensure that our community remains biker and hiker friendly.
Phil Kincheloe purchased this house in 2005
This property was my office for the last 6 years. With the times changing I decided to restore the property back to it's original purpose and offer it to folks who come to Sedona for their enjoyment. I have a second property as well, please check it out; Blue Door House, listing # 3876975.
Location, the area of location is very quiet and peaceful but is located right in the middle of Sedona, everything thing you need is 100 yards away!

What a great little house, right in the heart of Sedona. My husband and I recently stayed at this charming house with our little dog, and could not have been more pleased. Leah was a fantastic host, and it was all we could have hoped for. Amazing sound system too! We went to Red Box and rented movies for the evening, cooked, drank wine, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will return Leah!
Just completed a peaceful stay at the Yellow Door House. Leah and Phil were excellent hosts and helped us with great recommendations for local hikes, restaurants, attractions etc. Their property was very well equipped and provided a great central location for our Sedona adventures.
We and our dogs were made to feel welcome right from the start of our visit. Their three friendly dogs greeted our dogs and let them know they were welcome which immediately put them at ease.
Great patio and privacy. Well stocked kitchen. New appliances. Nice furishings. Beds were very comfortable (with the possible exception of the futons) But definitely an enjoyable time for all!
The yellow door house is centrally located and tastefully furnished. We had two couples and two babies and were perfectly comfortable. Leah and Phil were so nice and helpful- providing recommendations for hikes and answering all of our questions about the house. When we come back we will definitely be staying here!
Our host piloted us to the front door when our GPS stopped navigating for us. Met us as we arrived and showed us the house. Very clean & nice open living/kitchen area that promotes visiting and easy conversation. I had a big group (7) and we were quite comfortable. The two baths make a big difference with a group that size. All amenities worked & were quality. Host provided insights to what to see & where to go. Very comfotable for our special family vacation. Walking distance from both upper Sedona and the Telaquipaquie areas. Short drive & you're in Oak Creek canyon.
Perfect place to rent in Sedona. Location is great, you can leave your car and walk to restaurants, shopping and the Pink Jeep tours. Spotlessly clean. Great details in the kitchen, including cloth napkins, colorful and coordinated dishes and glassware. Towels were the plushest we have ever seen.
A bit tricky to find..go past the Burger King, then turn immediately after the gas station next to the BK...first time it is very hard to see the sign for the street, looks like an alley. But once you are there you will be thrilled with the property.
Four of us spent a few days here, enjoying the easy access from the Yellow Door House to biking and hiking trails, restaurants and shopping. Leah and Phil are good hosts, can tell you the best trails and give advice on restaurants and massages too. The house was really comfortable for four, nice full kitchen (even including basic spices and a French press for coffee) and washer and dryer (soap supplied). This location is close to everything but still quiet - wonderful to sit out on the porch and enjoy coffee or beer while watching the sun rise or set over the red monuments. If you are a hiker or biker, no need to get in the car to find a trail head, it's all easy access right from the house - very bike friendly house and hosts! We had a great time and really enjoyed the Yellow Door House - we'll come again, thanks Leah and Phil.
We had a wonderful stay at the Yellow Door House. The location was perfect, the house is beautiful and was furnished with everything we needed except for food and libations. Leah is a great host and was a valuable resource for places to go and things to do. There were four of us but the house can comfortably accommodate at least six people. This was the best VRBO we have ever rented. I recommend the Yellow Door House without exception with five stars in all categories.
