“We chose to purchase this area for our vacation home because number one the unspoiled beauty of the area was captivating and second, the views from our cabin are breathtaking. The 100’s of miles of ATV trails and the close proximity of the National Parks was also a consideration. Having paved roads that allow for year round access makes it a bonus.”
What a great time we had and wish it wouldn't end.... We loved having fires in the fire pit with a full moon and loving the views. We hiked Zion, Bryce, Capital Reef, Escalante, Calf Creek, Moab, Canyon Lands and the Arches.Wonderfully well-equiped kitchen! Beautiful views! Loved the ping pong table-what great exercise for any age group! We will be back. Thanks so much!
We had a wonderful, enjoyable and relaxing stay at the house. It was very clean and very well stocked. I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to take in the National Parks in the area.
Everyone in our group (9 people) was very happy with the accommodations. Great views of sunrise in back and sunset in front. Plenty of room for everyone and the location is perfect for access to Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks, and Grand Canyon. Grill on deck and fire pit in back were put to good use. Coolers, games, folding chairs, and inflatable bed all came in handy. No problems with hot water or water pressure in showers. Enjoyed our stay and would reserve again if we return to the area, but there are more areas of country to explore. Only three minor things - oven could have been cleaner, dishwasher probably needs to be replaced, and for a house that sleeps 10, only seating for 8 at dining room table. As I said, minor things. I would strongly recommend this house to anyone who plans to visit these parks.
We were so fortunate to find this fabulous property for our trip to Bryce and Zion Parks. There is no way that the profile photos could transmit its beauty. Since it was perfectly situated between both parks, with easy drives, we were able to hike and explore both areas.
The home is situated on the top of a bluff and has literally 360 degrees of breath-taking views through expansive windows on all sides. The architectural features and interior design and furniture are all top of the line, sophisticated, yet homey at the same time.
The transverse chimney from living room to master bedroom was a nice touch, as well as the lovely kitchen, beautifully equipped with top quality appliances and amenities. Dining in the light filled dining area, with a never-ending view from all angles, was a rare treat. The bedrooms and bathrooms were impeccably clean and attractive, and the towels and linens were top quality, a pleasure to use. The ping pong and fire pit were nice extras. The comfortable beds were just another detail which let one know that no expense has been spared to make this property an enticing getaway.
We were depressed to leave this home, and fervently hope that we'll get another opportunity to stay here. We will certainly recommend it to our friends and family. Finally, the owner/manager could not have been more accommodating and welcoming.
We all arrived at the house, and everyone agreed it was perfect. We had our whole family there. 5 kids and 5 grow ups. There was plenty of space for everyone to do their own thing. Best part was hiking at Zion and Bryce Canyon National Parks. What I really liked was that we made memories for our 5 grand children. They especially enjoyed making s'mores and telling stories around the fire pit. The view was gorgeous and we saw deer come right up to the back door.
Stayed for a week and fully explored Bryce and Zion - Location is PERFECT - 45 min or less to each park. The house is beautiful - We loved it!
We decided to split our weeks' vacation into 3 days of skiing in Salt Lake City and 3 days visiting National Parks in southern Utah. My husband and I were traveling with our 2 teenage kids and my brother. We felt so lucky to find this home on the VRBO website. The pictures on the website really don't describe the beauty of the area. The whole main level is floor to ceiling windows allowing visible breathtaking views. The house was perfect! Very spacious. Everyone had room to chill out and relax after a long day of hiking. We hiked at Zion one day. We completed the beginner hikes Lower Emerald Pool, Weeping Rock Trail, and Riverside Walk to end the day, which was perfect because the kids walked in the river getting shoes and pants pretty wet. The temptation was hard to resist. I would highly recommend these trails if you are beginners. We hiked at Bryce Canyon 2 days. The first day it started snowing! The next day was sunny and 60 degrees. Both days were beautiful. We hiked a trail that started at Sunset Point. It was called The Most Beautiful Trail in the World and it definitely was just that. I think between the 5 of us, we took over 500 pictures. Both parks are a close 45 minute drive. If you decide to stay here, you are really isolated from the main town which is down the mountain about 40 miles. We were coming from the North and our GPS wanted us to get off of the main road a lot earlier than the directions sent to us. Follow the directions that are sent to you because they will take you through the town of Cedar City and that is where all of the stores and restaurants are located. We made a shopping list for all of our meals and went shopping before getting to the house for the first time. That was great thinking because we were ready to start our vacation right when we checked in. We bought lunch meat, fruit and chips and brought lunches (picnics) to the National Parks which was a lot of fun and saved us money. Make sure to buy hot dogs and marshmallows because there is a small fire pit in the backyard. They did have a grill, put there was no propane in it. We went to the corner gas station to get the tank refilled, but they closed at 7:00. So if you want to grill, plan ahead. All in all you can't go wrong renting this property. It's beautiful, new, spacious, close to National Parks and State Parks, the kitchen has everything you need. Kids stay entertained with board games, ping pong, darts, wi fi and exploring.
