Cabin sits on the shore and provides water access for kayaking, and exploring Raccon Cove. Relax by a beautiful babbling brook in the back yard. The property is also centrally located in Lamione and is close to all of its amenities, just 1 1/2 miles from Marboro Beach, 1/2 mile from freshwater swimming at Bloomfield Park on Blunt's Pond, and 3 miles from Lamoine State Park, and Lamoine Beach. All saltwater sites provide boat access to Frenchman's Bay. Both portions of Acadia, (Mount Desert Island and the Schoodic Pennisula), and Bar Harbor are within a 15-20 minute drive. Ellsworth is within 10 mins for easy access to groceries, gift shops, restaurants, movies, and even LL. Bean.

A short walk down to the shore provides water access for kayaking, and exploring Raccon Cove. Rent both properties and save $100.00 on each rental.

An impromptu get away left all with some amazing memories.

Three generations (all adults) shared this amazing cabin during Labor Day week. I really can’t think of anything negative to say, and it’s not because I have low standards.

I have stayed in many vacation rentals; Belize, Puerto Rico, SW Ohio and Bar Harbor and this location by far, had the highest quality amenities.
The appliances were top end, right down to the Dyson Vacuum Cleaner.

The Bunk House was an extra special touch, gave some private space to my son and his wife.

The kitchen and bathroom were well above par. The kitchen even had some pantry staples (and lots of spices) which was really nice.

I’m familiar with the area as I grew up in Bar Harbor. One of the reasons we choose this rental is due to its close proximity to Ellsworth and Bar Harbor.

However, when you’re sitting on the front porch with your morning coffee, you are worlds away from everything that “busys” (is that even a word?) up your life.

The only thing that I can mention that I wish they had, was a bar/pole to hang clothes on. There is a nice size dresser with drawers in the room with the king bed. However, I like to hang clothes (not a fan of ironing) and since my clothes were in a suitcase from flying, I just used the broom handle across a rail and on my suitcase.

We had a great stay at this cabine and felt comfortable. We had all we need, and we loved the atmosphere of the interior of the cabine and the sourrounding nature. The Acadia NP is nearby and there are plenty of possibilities to spend the time with different activities. There is a canoe, that belongs to the cabine and we enjoyed our trips in the Raccoon Cove. The little extra cabine directly at the waterside with a grat view from the bed on the cove and the mountains of Acadia NP is amazing.

This log cabin in the woods is also right on the ocean. It is private but nearby everything. Bar Harbor/Acadia National Park is 25-30 minutes away, Ellsworth is about 10 minutes away, and if for some reason you need fresh water to swim in, the local swimming hole, Blunts pond, is 2 minutes away. The post and beam cabin is beautiful and comfortable. The little "honeymoon cabin" as we called it is separate from the main cabin right on the water, very close to the high water mark. The views from this little cabin with a king-sized bed are incredible. The cabin has all the amenities that you need with the exception of wifi. We brought our hot spot and it worked fine. Phone reception is good as well (not very good in Acadia National Park). All in all, a wonderful week. We'll be back!

Beautiful Cabin on the Water!

This cabin is a wonderful place to stay. It's in a secluded area not far from Acadia (~20 mins) The separate waterfront cottage is beautiful and spacious with an amazing view. The amenities (dishwasher, washer/dryer) in the cabin are high end and added a nice modern touch to our stay. The beds were comfy and well-appointed. The screened in porch was a plus. There was even a canoe for us to use on the water! There is also a fire pit available, but we didn't have time to use it unfortunately. We had relatives staying in Ellsworth down the road and the cabin had ample space to accomodate for a large lobster/seafood dinner. I definitely would recommend this place to stay! You get a lot of value for your money here!

The perfect vacation cabin

My husband and I came to Maine with another couple, and all four of us fell in love with this cabin the moment we stepped out of our vehicle. It is the perfect blend of rustic and modern - rest assured the kitchen and bathroom are clean (as is the entire cabin) and all of the appliances are new and in fabulous shape. We loved relaxing around the fire pit, as well as on the screened- in porch. The cove provided many interesting walks in the mud at low tide, as well as a fun canoe ride for the guys once the tide came in. This area of Maine is absolutely gorgeous, and we spent several days exploring Acadia and some of the surrounding areas. But our favorite part was returning to "our" house at the end of the day. It was very peaceful and relaxing, and just what the doctor ordered. Don't hesitate if you are considering this location - book it and you surely won't be sorry.

Lamoine is a central location for all that the Acadia & Down east areas have to offer. Acadia National Park & Bar Harbor on Mount Desert Island offer hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, fishing, rock climbing, whale watching, gift shops, wonderful restaurants, and beautiful golf courses. Not to mention the most beautiful scenic drives on the east coast. Blue Hill and Castine are also nearby and offer art galleries, concerts, and great dining. For the adventurous a day trip up the coast to explore the quiet coastal vistas and quaint fishing villages is a wonderful way of seeing Down east, Maine at its best. If you want to stay close to home, Lamoine offers some of the best white sandy beaches in the region, with views of the coastal islands and mountains of Acadia.
