Really a place of peace

A wonderful place run by a wonderful guy! Eric is really nice and laid-back by leaving you on your own while at the same time still being available to answer any questions and providing those little amenities that make it a special experience. If you need any information pertaining to traveling around the island and particular places of interest, Eric can provide custom maps and information only a local would know. We stayed during the "off-season" so we basically had the place to ourselves with full access to the entertainment area, business center, and most importantly, kitchen. You will probably want access to fresh food since the place has a great kitchen with pretty much anything you'll need. Don't worry, there are multiple grocery stores in the area with closest being about 5 minutes away. Additionally there is abundance of fresh fruit grown on the property seemed to always be available (the papaya is to die for!). The laundry facilities came in quite handy on our last night when we wanted to clean all our clothes before putting them back in our suitcases. For the price, our suite (and I believe all the others) was huge and the pictures on this site are accurate representations (except there are none of the geckos!). The area Halemalu is located in is extremely quiet while still only a short (15-20 minute) car ride to Kona to the north and already on the way if you are heading south to the Black Sand beach or volcanoes. I could go on and on, but essentially the overall the experience was well worth it!!
