This is a fabulous condo for families, or a guys weekend escape, or gals retreat. Sleeps up to 12 people in 8 beds. Beautiful new 3 bedroom 2 bathroom condo with mountain views. Close to downtown. Hiking and skiing. 1 master bedroom has a king size bed with private 4 piece ensuite. 2nd bedroom has two twin beds that can also make into a king sized bed. 3rd bedroom has double over double bunk bed plus a day bed with an additional trundle bed. Living room leather sofa makes into a queen size bed. Tv and dvd player. Dining room table with 6 comfortable seats. Two bar stools beautiful kitchen with housewares and stainless steel appliances including dishwasher. Laundry washing machine and dryer in the condos as well. Balcony with a bbq for your steaks or some beverages admiring the wonderful rocky mountain view.

My family owned a weekend place in Canmore when I was a child. We would head up to Canmore each weekend from Calgary. Many of my fondest memories as a child were of hiking in an around Canmore, strolling the character downtown and skiing the world renowned ski areas. We wanted our family and others to enjoy this paradise too so we now have this special place to share it with you.

Kristina purchased this condo in 2013

The condo is brand new and walking distance to downtown Canmore. This is the gateway to the Banff National Park and world Class skiing and hiking. It has the wonderful amenities of a pool, hot tub and fitness area. And walking trails and recreation right from your door. No stairs required on the first floor.

This property is located at the Lodges in Canmore. There is a pool, hot tub, and fitness room available. It is great for a family, 2 families, or a large group going to the mountains together. There are 8 beds in total and sleeps up to 12 people. There are an abundance of little jack rabbits that are along the walking trails all around the building. Our kids love it. They get to be connected to nature while we can retreat to our lovely accommodations with all the amenities.

Take great care before booking this unit

Where to begin??

It began badly, very badly. No one ever actually sent us the address of the unit! It was a miracle we even found the place. We made three phone calls in all. On the first I got some guy in the middle of breakfast with his family who assured me reception would take care of getting us into the unit when we got there. (at this point I didn't realize we didn't have an address). The other two calls were at about 7.50 pm on the evening if our arrival, neither was answered, messages were left, to date not return calls.

So we arrive. Reception conforms we have a booking, we check in. We find the underground parking. Finding our way out of the car park.... Ha ha what a gong show. We eventually find an elevator, which takes an age to arrive. The unit is on the first floor, there is no first floor button on the elevator we go the the second floor. No unit. Call to reception. Ah , the first floor is call "M" for main. Who knew! #thingsreceptionshouldhavetoldus.

It would have been so much easier if the owners had prepared and sent us a comprehensive information pack, directions and step by step instructions for how to access the unit.

So we arrived very stressed.

The unit is pretty much as the photos show. Quite pleasant actually.

However it is on the ground floor facing inwards towards the Lodge reception the internal access road and the swimming pool. Endlessly noisy and blazing lights that never go out ever. The window blinds are not light proof. So it isn't dark at night.
There is no air conditioning so in warm weather you have to open the windows for even a half chance of not dying. Then you have no privacy and noise. Sadly for such a nicely furnished and clean unit we would never return and can't recomend anyone else does either.

Owner's Response: I do apologize for such a rocky start to your trip.
Within your rental agreement that had you had read, signed and returned a copy to me was clearly stated the address of our unit and the condo complex under the Rental Rules portion on page 1.
Once you did arrive, we are so happy you did receive your check-in through the front desk and a confirmation you were indeed booked with us.
The underground heating parking is quite small with one exit and entrance.
As for the elevators, yes, the "M" is for main floor.
Unfortunately, we are private owners of a condo in a complex run by a completely separate company which includes their own front desk staff and check-in.
I am thankful, you did find our unit pleasant and nicely furnished and clean.
I do think A/C would be a nice option, but they are not permitted. There is so few days in the summer that the Canadian Rockies would need it. We do provide fans in every room. The cool mountain air really drops the temperature in the evenings.

Property is in bad need of a clean

Nice enough place just very dirty. The carpets were stained and absolutely disgusting. Dirty walls, bathroom air filters were caked in dust and dirt. The grill was greasy and absolutely filthy. Part of our fee was a cleaning fee and I don't know what was cleaned. This place needs a thorough, and I mean thorough cleaning from top to bottom.

Owner's Response: Since this review, we have changed cleaning companies and the new company is doing a much better job. The carpets have all been thoroughly steamed and cleaned.

We strive to offer a beautiful condo in the Canadian Rockies to give each and every guest a great experience.

Nice place!

We booked for a girls weekend away in Canmore.. There were six of us, and the condo was perfect for that size. If there was more, it would be a bit tight. The décor was nice, and the kitchen fully stocked which made it easy to cook. There were a few challenges with some items, but the owner addressed them. Since this is an owner owned unit, the front desk doesn't provide any maintenance support.
The resort is nice, but may not give it the TLC is needs. The jets were out in the hot tub, and we heard from others in the complex that they'd been out for a few days...
You could see a mountain view from the front windows, but you also had a road, parking spots and a sidewalk... a little disconcerting when people would walk by..
