PALMERS POINT - PERFECT RETREAT W/ DEEP DOCK NEAR CAPE ROMAIN

McClellanville House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 4 Baths, (Sleeps 12-14)

This gorgeous waterfront home is truly spacious with large bedrooms each with their own bathroom and over 2700 square feet of living space. There is a deep-water dock where you can tie up your boat for the week or just enjoy crabbing, fishing, or watching the sun set. Watch the boats pass by from the large central living room or adjacent screened-porch. The home is completely furnished and comes with linens and kitchenware.

This relaxing rural retreat is located in the quiet Skipper’s Point community just across creek from the Historic District and its great restaurants, shops, museum, and boat landing (a five minute drive away). The house is set among ancient live oaks draped with spanish moss and offers a spacious front and back yard with sweeping views of Jeremy Creek from the Intracoastal Waterway to the scenic shrimp boat docks.

This is a family home managed by property manager, Daniel Bates. The home was built in 1988 on the prettiest lot in McClellanville by my grandparents, who have since passed away. There are many found memories of a large extended family in this well-loved home, but the home has also been used as a rental for the passed 4 years and has formed a lot of new memories with each of these families, many of which come back year after year.

Daniel and Josie Bates purchased this house in 1988

McClellanville has been described as a little slice of heaven by many who discover it's quaint southern charm. The movie Paradise was filmed here with good reason.

Everyone that stays comments on how "comfortable" they were during their stay. I don't know what it is about the home and McClellanville in general, but it truly is a relaxing place where you are just let your troubles melt away.

WONDERFUL

  • 5 of 5
My family is local to the area but we are self employed so it is hard to travel away for vacation. We stayed at Palmers Point for 10 days and never wanted to leave. It was a very comfortable home that accomodated my entire family plus lots of friends. My little girl celebrated her 5th birthday in this home, we beached it during the day and my husband was able to flounder gig at night. It was a hidden piece of paradise for us. My girls attended Bible School while we were there and climbed the 1000 year old oak. We will be returning this summer. We are in love!

COULD NOT HAVE BEEN MORE RELAXING

  • 5 of 5
We came to relax and it was perfect. The home was clean, well appointed, warm and cozy. Everything we needed was there such as linens, towels, cooking supplies etc. We rented kayaks and paddled across the cape romain wildlife refuge all the way to the ocean. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We saw dolphins, turtles, birds of every sort, sharks, crabs, and watched the shrimp boats putter out at dawn. We spent days fishing off the dock, paddling the creeks and waterway, relaxing on the porch, and just completely unwinding. I didn't want to go home. I recommend this to anyone who loves nature and wants to have the most peaceful relaxing time ever. We have dealt with this manager/owner several times and he is great. If you go to Mcclellanville bring all your food and drink because there are no stores extremely close. Besides once you get there it is paradise and you won't want to leave!
